Probably the best compilation I've heard so far, September 5, 2007

If you want to get to know the great Canadian pianist Oscar Peterson, this is a perfect place to start. I don't think I've ever heard better sampler from someone's career (forgate "Ultimate","Finest Hour","Jazz Portrait" and other otherwise fine editions).
Recorded in various formats, as a solo artist, leader, sideman, or an equal collaborator, his playing is brilliant on each and every track.
This CD covers Peterson's effervecent musical personality in the best possible way; featuring also Ray Brown, Dizzy Gillespie, Billie Holiday, Lester Young, Sonny Stitt, Clark Terry and numerous others (see the tags...).
Highly recomended.

Awesome music, October 28, 2011

This CD is amazing!! I am a piano player. To listen to what Oscar Peterson was able to do is breath taking. If you like Jazz music and/or piano music then I would say this is undoubtedly a good buy.
