This review is from: Jazz Pedagogy: The Jazz Educator's Handbook and Resource Guide (Paperback)
This book was required for a jazz pedagogy class that I chose to take during a mini semester and it was a great resource. It is a must have for anyone who is going to teach a jazz band or have a jazz program, whether you are a novice or expert educator.

5.0 out of 5 stars Jazz Pedagogy = Great Resource!, December 27, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Jazz Pedagogy: The Jazz Educator's Handbook and Resource Guide (Paperback)
This book is a very comprehensive resource for teaching a jazz ensemble or combo. The DVD is an extremely great tool as it is very nice to see someone teaching the techniques described within the book. I also really like to inclusion of the history of jazz lineage at the beginning of the book. Well done!
