Excellent jazz piano CD of Christmas standards that are played in anything but a "standardized" fashion. It swings, it soothes and it's done with a lot of style and taste. If you dig jazz piano and Christmas tunes, you can't go wrong with this one.

Great music for dinner party or just background music while you are busy doing other things. Same old Christmas tunes with a jazzy flair that is really enjoyable. Never heard of Beegie Adair before, but plan to buy more of her great piano pieces.

Beegie's style and technique are so incredible, yet at the same time so relaxing to listen to ! I feel she is one of the rarest musical treasures to come out of the south in decades. My whole family loves her music....

Just what we've come to expect from Beegie Adair - tight, classic jazz arrangements that tickle the ear and comfort the soul. When the craziness of the holidays - including the words of overplayed carols - start to get to you, you'll find an hour of Beegie will be the cure you need. Great music from start to finish.

A great CD, that contains wonderfully light instrumental piano jazz stylings of a dozen classic Christmas favorites, including a sweet little medley of "O Little Town of Bethlehem/ When You Wish Upon A Star" Very well done! This CD is produced by Jack Jezzro, and his "Jack Jezzro & Friends Bossa Nova Christmas" CD makes a perfect companion to this Beegie Adair offering. By the way, Adair appears on two of the tracks on "Bossa Nova Christmas", so the pairing of these two CDs seems like a natural. Slap these two discs in your CD player and hit "shuffle"; you'll see what I mean. They go together like peanut butter and jam ... and both are just as smooth.

This and the "Jingle Bell Swing" cds make an excellent playlist for a Christmas dinner party (which is what I used them for). Had many compliments about the music from the guests.

Christmas would not be Christmas without the holiday songs of yesterday. Jazz pianist Beegie Adair performs a set of 12 memorable classics that never grow old. But what is unique about her renditions of carols, such as "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" or "O Little Town of Bethlehem/When You Wish Upon a Star medley?" Adair plays each classic in the jazz tradition with a sweep of elegance and rhythm that resonates with her piano and the light accompaniment of guitar, bass, and drums that is not overdone like a cocktail hour or lounge act.

All of the songs included in this collection carry an intonation of memories past and glad tidings of the present and future. Adair keeps those themes in mind and the spirit of Christmas and the winter season alive with jolly greetings of all time favorites, "Let it Snow, Let it Snow," "Santa Claus is Coming to Town," "Frosty the Snowman," "Christmas Waltz," and "I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm." But she also slows the tempo down a bit with the following songs, perennial favorite "The Little Drummer Boy" that gently glides with a tinge of a bossa nova sound, and "The Christmas Song" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "White Christmas," and "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?" which are given yet another stamp of approval as the most sentimental songs of the holiday season.

After the routines of preparing for the most exciting time of the year are done, Jazz Piano Christmas is a nice respite of one's listening pleasure that may delight and invite listeners to the sounds of the holidays.
