Superb Art Farmer!,

Art Farmer at his best, with Fred Hersch, Dennis Irwin, and Billy Hart. After the first ballad, You Know I Care, as usual masterfully interpreted by Farmer, the rest of the program is on the up-tempo side, with Farmer very heated and creative. On Bird's Red Cross, he gallivants delightfully in pure bebop mode. Farmer was really on for this concert, and thankfully it was recorded. A must hear.
