Some of Alvin's best...,

Some great tracks on here. "My Coo Ca Choo" has got to be one of the best 70's pop songs ever. What power! Those guitars! "Jealous Mind" comes a close second, followed by "Red Dress", "You You You" & "Sweet Cheatin' Rita". Alvin did most of his best work in late '73 and 1974. I've been a life-long fan and those tracks are Alvin at his best! "My Coo Ca Choo" and "Jealous Mind" are just songs you could never get bored of! Great Stuff!

This is a great compilation of Alvin Stardust's hits. My all-time favorite is "My Coo Ca Choo" which ranked # 7 in the "Top 30 Number One Singles of 1974" and was a # 1 hit for seven weeks in a row in Australia. The rhythm of this song and the provocative lyrics - you just don't want to stop playing it!
In addition to his own songs, his interpretations of "Boney Moronie", "Bye Bye Love", and "Jailhouse Rock" are one of a kind. Love, attraction, rejection, sexual inuendo, cheating, jealousy (his famous "Jealous Mind") - the songs of the man in black leather with his unique voice cover it all. This is a MUST for folks who like the sound of the 70s.

Alvin Stardust is the finest Glamrocker ever! When he turned his Name Bernard Jewry to Alvin Stardust he had already been a star called Shane Fenton. Listen to the Slide Guitar in Jealous Mind, and you'll know, where this man comes from.

'My Coo Ca Choo' has got to be one of the most powerful tracks I've ever heard! That beat! Wow - superb. 'Jealous Mind' comes a close second. Almost all of his best tracks come from 1973 and 1974, he also did some great stuff in the mid-80's...
