Hip-Hop at it's worst!,

This is Fat Joe's worst album and wind up being his best selling. Compare this album to his first two and you can tell the difference. Man, I really miss real hip-hop.

Where Fat Joe went wrong,
By Nuisance "the rebel" (Miami) - See all my reviews

I could somewhat tolerate Fat Joe after this album. I liked J.O.E and Don Cartegena but after Pun's death Fat Joe lost his mind and has been downward spiraling into wackness starting with this album. Before I get to what's bad let me tell you what kept this album from frisbee treatment. My Lifestyle is okay. M.O.P saved Fight Club(also feat Petey Pablo) and Armegeddon left Fat Joe in his dust on Murder Rap. The rest of this album stinks. What's Luv feat Ashanti and Ja Rule is light fluffy pop garbage that is unworthy of the praise it got. We Clubbin feat R Kelly was straight garbage and the remix feat Noreaga, Busta Rhymes and Remy Ma is worser than the original. Fat Joe wasted a great beat by Alchemist with wack rapping on Definition of A Don. Opposites Attract feat Remy Martin is horrible! Get The Hell On With That feat Ludacris and Armegeddon is wack even though Luda's verse was alright. The Wild Life feat Prospect and Xzibit is boring. King Of N.Y. wastes reggae legend Buju Banton's talent and our time. On the track Still Real, Fat Joe claims that we dont know what pain is. After hearing this album we have the concept of pain mastered. More garbage: He's Not Real(and the interlude before it was pointless), It's Ok and J.O.S.E. Bottom Line: Jealous Ones Still Envy is one of the worst albums of Fat Joe's career. The beats were weak, the lyrics were lazy and the guest appearances add very little to this album. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. I dont blame anybody who lost respect for Fat Joe after this album and his subsequent albums. He went out like a snake to save his career from inevitable extinction.

Fat Joe - Jelous Ones Still Envy,

Fat Joe is NOT the King of N.Y. but he does have a good album. With songs like the single "We Thuggin'" and the new smash "What's Luv" you gotta have this. Other tight songs are: "My Lifestyle", "Fight Club", "Get The Hell On With That", "We Thuggin (Remix)". Its a good album it just is missing something. It's just not something you can listen to start to finish. But you gotta get it if you are a rap or terror squad fan.

Fat Joe at his Best!,
By
This review is from: Jealous Ones Still Envy (Jose) (Audio CD)
Not since Jealous One's Envy has Fat Joe dropped an album like this. The lyrics are on point, but what really stands out is the production. His previous album had repetative beats and too much Terror Squad and Big Pun allocated time. This time 'Joey Crack' enlists some of the best producers and does minimum collaboration outside his camp with the likes of Ludacris, M.O.P., Petey Pablo, and others. One of the best (and unfortunately short) songs is "It's OK" which has a clever sample of Cypress Hill's "How I Could Just Kill a Man". Other songs to look out for are "Opposites Attract" with Remy Martin and "What's Luv?" with Ja Rule and Ashanti. Let's not forget the single "We Thuggin'" with R. Kelly or the even better remix with Noreaga, Remy Martin, and Busta Rhymes. Overall this album does NOT disappoint.

What's To Be Jealous About?,
By "r-a-h" (Sacramento, CA USA) - See all my reviews

Why, oh why did I give Fat Joe a try? I listen to two songs on the radio, "We Thuggin'" featuring R. Kelly and "What's Luv?" which featured Murder Inc's own Ja Rule and Ashanti and I think classic. Never again will I make the same mistake. I really don't see why this album is named the way it is because I don't see how anybody can be envious of this garbage. I will give Fat Joe a little credit. Aside from the two singles on this album, he did manage to put out a pretty good track in "Opposites Attract." So, unless you're a big fan of Fat Joe or the Terror Squad in general, be wise with your purchases and leave this one on the shelf.

Not Bad,

By the listens of Fat Joe's new single "We Thuggin" (featuring R. Kelly) I just thought Fat Joe has totally fallen away from the underground mentality. With all the commercial [stuff] nowadays alot of rappers have fallen into the trend, making true recent fans upset. But I will have say that this album is totally not a bad album at all. I was expecting some over-exerted bling-bling material, but Fat Joe (like always) has presented a decent offering. With songs from Murder Rap to He's Not Real you can see that this man is still a hungry hardcore rapper. Sometimes you may turn your head when the same mastermind who composed these songs is the same one with the flashy diamond rings and expensive cars on his new video. But to the old Fat Joe fans you will not be overly disappointed. Yeah there are a few songs here and there that may not thrill the old fans, but he does represent well. Trust me. Cop this one!

Fat Joe has seen it all and has been through a hell of a lot throughout his career. He's as real as it gets and to all of you wondering about the quality of this album it is 5-star dope. To all of you that miss Pun, you can feel him live on through Fat Joe (They were both part of TS).You really have to respect Joey Crack for "all that he's been through and all that he's seen." If you want to know what the game's like, look no further; you can get a taste of it right here. This is Joe's most personal album ever and maybe his last. If you listen to "My Lifestyle" you can figure out why this may be his last album and what's up with Joe's life. If you just like to listen to music, you can get the clean version of the album and listen in. This album is an Epic and an instant classic that ranks up there with the best. You have to understand the game if you want to appreciate it for real. If you're thinking about becoming a player, you should listen and see what it's really like; and then listen again. Fat Joe could have made a stack of green if he Sold Out and decided to become POP star like so many $ hungry burnouts. Joe's newest album is really distinct from other popular titles because it's not BS. I'm tired of listening to (...) pop stars who gained thier popularity by accident and who are supported by the corporate executivez and all of thier (...) cronies with no street knowledge. Just buy this album for God's sake and support Joe so that he might release another album and let us hear some more from him. If you're considering buying the album, don't hesitate and waste time looking through tons of reviews. Take my honest word for it and just get it. If you take the time to appreciate it you'll love it and find yourself coming back and listening once in a while for a long time. If not, you'll still be satisfied with it and you can bump to it in your ride. *Milagro*

Fat Joe drops another album after 3 years. This album is his best. There are a lot of guest artist on here. The song with Petey Pablo and M.O.P. sounds like "What U Ride for" on Kisses album. But I like this one better. Petey Pablo sounds the best on this track. There's nothin' that I can say except to get this album, along wit Busta, Ice Cube, Mack 10, UGK, Petey Pablo, Ludacris, Nas, Mobb Deep, and a bunch of others that have already dropped, or soon to be.

It is such a horrible CD he thinks he is all bad but all he is is fat.I would be embarrassed to be his label and release such a horrrible CD.The only ok songs on it are Whats Luv and We thuggin (remix) but even those are alright if you have no other CD's.The ryhmes are all screwy and his beats are messed up.I am proud to say i returned it the soon after I had listened to it .
