After Keoki's phenominal first studio album, "Ego-Trip", he returned to his roots of creating DJ mixes. However, the brilliance of "Ego-Trip" made many (including myself) hunger for another album of purely original material. And with "Jealousy", he delivered with gusto. "Jealousy" almost sounds like a cross between house and trance, with satisfying results. Also new is the introduction of a bit more in the lyrical department, so much so that the words are contained in the liner notes. All is appropriate, and everything is incredible. Standout tracks include "Rush", "Realize", "Real World", and of course the already acclaimed "Pass It On". However, the track is not merely the track given away for free long ago, but a tightened and cleaned up mix at almost 10 minutes long. And, as the Superstar DJ likes to do something a bit different on the last track of his albums, wrapping up "Jealousy" is a supercool cover of the 80's hit "Relax", with a certain lyric highlighted... It is the perfect way to end one of the most amazing Keoki albums to date.

Having been a candy-kid raver and come full-circle to the recording/producing/DJing side of the scene, I've been a Keoki fan for quite some time, and now I'm an even bigger fan.

I heard Ego Trip when it came out, and I thought to myself "this is good." Now, though, when I listen to it and compare it with Jealousy, which I've heard several times over the past 2 years (and finally bought it), I definately think Ego Trip was the lesser album. Don't get me wrong, it's really good, but Jealousy just sounds better in my opinion.

If you're a fan of Ego Trip, I would pick this up, it's well worth it. If you're more a fan of the mix CDs that Keoki has done, this might not be for you. I'm a fan of both, owning all but 2 of Keoki's CDs (I don't have the DJMixed.com CD or Altered Ego Trip), and I must say that Jealousy is my second favorite, with Keokiclash being #1.

The title track "Jealousy" is incredible, trancy, but picks up with some electric guitar and includes some great vocal mixing work, among other highlights. The other tracks don't let down, either. Each has it's own unique style, but doesn't outcast itself from any other track on the CD. There isn't a single track on this CD I don't like, but the most notable three are "Jealousy," "Relax," and "Pass It On." I guess that's why they were all released as singles.

Give this CD s shot, you won't be disappointed unless you're not at all into the elctronic music scene.

Anyone who claims to be a fan of electronic music and does not know the name Keoki is sheltered. DJ Keoki has given hard edge Funky Techno a place to grow for the last ten years. His story alone is quite a tale of a tropical paradise to a New York City baggage handler then to a Superstar DJ. What a ride... Strap yourselves in because he is ready for another go in the Keoki roller coaster of sound.

Keoki's first release and subsequent remix album have been heard all over the world. From DJs on the dance floors and in the living rooms of Techno heads everywhere Keoki has helped us to move. It was not quite like any other album of its era. It gave us an interesting insight into the mind of a man that had moved thousand on the dance floors of the world. It was and open minded exploration of the future of electronic funk, house and trance. There is no musician quite like a DJ.

Now, just a few years later, Keoki is exploring some new sounds and hinting to us the direction of electronic music for the next few years. Here in his second release of his own music talents he shows us everything from hard house to trance. He even puts a new spin on the "Frankie goes to Hollywood" classic "Relax." He does not disappoint. He is still top in his field.

This CD is awesome. I would recommend it to anyone of any music style. The songs are just catchy enough to be taken seriously while still keeping true to the electronic sound. Cruise over to Moonshine's website and listen to a little audio if you are curious enough. Don't just take my word for it, what do I know anyway? :)
