This latest book by R. T. Kendall spoke volumes to me from the very

first page. There are many applicable points in this book -

definitely a great title to add to your personal library. According

to the author, jealousy is easy to fall into because it feeds on our

insecurities. It is a very subtle sin and many times, we can be

jealous of someone or something and not even realize it. No one is

immune to this sin yet it is rarely addressed or talked about. R. T.

Kendall wrote this book to not only help us recognize jealousy and be

freed from the bondages of it, but to help us understand ourselves and others. I highly recommend this book!

This book is an excellent mirror for the reader. I didn't feel that jealousy was an issue in my life, which is true....on the surface! This book makes you take a good look at yourself, see what's really there deep down, and deal with it!

As humans, we put sin on a ladder. Some just don't seem as bad to us as others. But there are a lot of "respectable sins" that really damage our lives, and jealousy is one of them. Author R. T. Kendal does a fine job of helping us recognize jealousy in our own lives and how to overcome it. The book is well-written and easy to read, even though the topic might be a difficult one for us to accept in ourselves!

I am almost finished reading this book after purchasing just a few weeks ago, and would recommend it to everyone. Jealousy is something that almost everyone deals with at one point or another whether from others or within ourselves. In a world that focuses on climbing the ladder of success, jealousy is a big problem for those that make it a little higher than others. Yet there is barely any material out there dealing with this subject. Kendall has truly made an invaluable addition to Christian literature. He highlights many biblical accounts which reveals jealousy to be a common issue throughout the Bible. This book will encourage those hurt from jealousy and help those with jealousy recognize the signs and put it in check.

Having experienced jealousy on numerous occasions from others, in the workplace, and in society because of my talent and ambition, and having observed jealousy intervene in the lives of others, I realized that jealousy is so present in our world today but nobody ever really talks about it. Therefore, I felt that I just had to do some reading on this subject. Thus, I purchased this book and the author was very accurate when speaking about jealousy in the real world. However, I did tend to get very lost when he ran on with the bible stories all throughout the book. Even so, it will make you reflect on your jealous attitudes and advise you on how you should not purposely make others jealous and why you shouldn't be jealous of others to the point where it pains you and evil fills your mind(which is a sin).

The message that I really take away from this book is that, no one, absolutely no one is immune from becoming jealous. Every single human being is prone to jealousy. Believe it or not, this is a natural feeling. When feelings of jealousy occur, one should admit it to oneself, destroy it or take control of it before it ends up taking control of you! It is a very important message! I would recommend that many people read this book. You may be surprised why some people really don't like you or choose to treat you differently....(Jealousy...Need I say more?)

This is the 3rd book I have read by R.T. Kendall and I think he hit it out the park with this one. I enjoyed this book form cover to cover and the last chapter was the icing on the cake. Thank God for good books this is certainly one of them. This book addresses the subject of jealousy in us, people who are jealous of us and warns about provoking others to jealousy. One statement the author made that stood out to me is "God is good he's not nice" Wow! This author has a knack for motivating readers to read the old testament. I loved how he drew my attention to Abraham stating his focus was not on earthly possessions but was on going to heaven and God blessed him. I loved this book. This author was also more candid than he was in Total Forgiveness and for that I am eternally greatful because he was able to speak to those of us who struggle with this vice and bring life to this very difficult subject matter. Thank you Dr. Kendall, two thumbs up, touch down.

Having read RT's book on Total Forgiveness, my spiritual pump was primed for a wealth of explanations of this sin, and exhortations on conquering this sin. R.T. Kendall has written an excellent manual to equip everyone to fight the battle and overcome this menacing, devisive sin. Recommended reading for everyone, whether Christian or not.
