5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD!, January 17, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Jeanne Baxtresser Principal Flute (Audio CD)
Jeanne's CD has a great selection of songs and like always she makes them sound particularly beautiful. The Taktakishvili sonatas are my personal favorite but the Song of the Ashug, Prelude a l'apres-midi d'un faun, and the Debussy duet for flute and cello are also gorgeous. I would recogmend this CD to anyone who likes the flute.

4.0 out of 5 stars Neat pieces for violin, May 2, 2001
Glenn Dicterow is an amazing performer. The works recorded for this CD were not the standard Bruch and Sarasate. Instead, I was exposed to Korngold and Martinu chamber pieces wonderfully performed with Dicterow's wife Dreyfus on viola. This is a CD I like to hear occasionally because I hear something new in the pieces everytime. These aren't the works always on the radio or other recordings, so treasure this if you can get your hands on them.
