Leaks Badly Through Zippers,
By Uncle Echo (Plainfield, IL) - See all my reviews

I have to think there is a recall on this tent. The zippers are simply not designed correctly to prevent water from leaking in. Other tents have flaps to prevent water from even getting to the zippers, but these are completely exposed and leak like crazy with any rain whatsoever.

This tent worked great in Colorado,
This review is from: Jeep 12x10 5-Person Family Dome Tent (Sports)
It rained buckets, it blew, and then the sun shined. The tent worked great, no leaks. It took 2 people to set up the tent, but it only took us a few minutes. I really like the dirty shoe pockets and the mud floor at the entrance. I needed a tent that I could stand in. I could stand up, stretch, and get ready in the morning without rolling around trying to get my pants on while laying down (I'm 6'4"). People at our campsite said they were going to get this jeep tent because their Eureka leaked and was too small.
This tent is HUGE!! Well worth the money.

Not an easy tent to erect,

I bought this tent as I'm getting to old to sleep on the ground. My wife and I had a difficult time erecting this tent even following the directions. There are two corner poles at each corner. When you insert the pins in the bottom of the pole then try to insert the fiberglass bow
into the plastic socket the other poles will fall out at the opposite corner. Thankfully we had some help from another camp site. I've been camping and hunting for over 45 years so I'm not a newbe.

My brother and I bought this tent for a new family for Christmas. My sister and her husband had a newborn baby boy at the time but still wanted to enjoy the great outdoors. By the time they got to try it their son was 9 months old and she is pregnant again. They have an air mattress plus they put their son's pack and play in there. Then they still had room for him to crawl around and the dog to lay. Plus its big enough my sister can stand up in so she's not going to fall over once she's bigger again. They recently bought a house that needed a lot of work. While they were waiting for the work to get done and it was still nice out they used the tent as their home away from home. It was awesome. No leaks (unless you leave the door open). Sturdy through the harsh winds when we had a few really bad storms. And between the two of them they said it wasn't terribly hard to put up. They've enjoyed every minute of it, as has their son.

I had to return this tent for two reasons - it was not waterproof and flooded twice during an overnight trip and it was delivered defective. One of the clips on the outside was entirely ripped off and torn. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Hard to pitch and it leaks,
By Elizabeth Dove (Florida) - See all my reviews

I own a number of tents of various types for solo and group camping. I have never had a tent so irritating to pitch or so generally badly designed. There is no flap over the zipper, so rain pours in. The rain fly invites rain into the tent. Seams leak even after sealing. Save yourself some grief and keep shopping.
