4.0 out of 5 stars Protects Fabric and Belts....
Purchased this bag for our Graco SafeSeat Step 2. This bag was basically to protect the seat fabrics and straps from getting mangled by the Airlines. It did it's job. It's basically a sack with a zipper. If you're looking for padding and wheels, this isn't the bag for you. If you're looking for something to keep airline grease and funk off your carseat for minimal...

2.0 out of 5 stars Warning! Does NOT fit all car seats!
I recently bought this with high hopes. We need this to protect our rather huge and expensive Britax Marathon on our transatlantic trip. It is advertised as fitting all car seats. Not some- all. This is NOT true. Our Britax Marathon does not fit in this bag. It looks sturdy enough (that's why I gave it 2 stars) but don't be fooled. If you have a large car seat like the...

This is NOT true. Our Britax Marathon does not fit in this bag. It looks sturdy enough (that's why I gave it 2 stars) but don't be fooled. If you have a large car seat like the Britax models, don't waste your money on this. I'm sending it right back.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product!, March 2, 2011

We have two of these travel bags for our two Britax Marathons and they fit perfectly with room for extra blankets or stuffed animals. As long as you orient the car seats correctly, they fit great. And the bags are easy to carry through the airport. We're really happy with these bags. They make traveling easier for us.

3.0 out of 5 stars Better the bag gets ruined than the seat..., March 30, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Jeep Car Seat Travel Bag (Baby Product)
I bought this bag to store our car seat and base for a trip to Orlando. My first reaction when it arrived was pleasantly surprised about the material and construction. That said... It took a beating in this one trip, but better the bag than the car seat.

Pros:

-I liked the material and the stitching seems pretty solid.
-Roomy. I fit our infant car seat and the attachable base in this bag.
-Detachable Shoulder strap. Let's face it, car seats are awkward, the shoulder strap was really nice to go through the airport with. That said, I would have felt bad if my wife was travelling by herself as this only cuts down on the level of awkwardness- it can still be a beast to get around the airport.
-Convenient Pouch. There's a small zipper pouch to store things, I fit a small carrier in the the pouch while the car seat and base were in the bag. Also remember to put that shoulder strap in here (or in the bag itself) before handing over your bag!
-In addition to the shoulder strap there is a permanent handle which was also quite convenient.
-I feel the price is fair for the quality of this bag.

Reality Checks:

This thing is not made of steel. The airlines WILL beat the heck out of the bag. A round trip later and this bag already has a couple holes in it. Not at the seams mind you, right in the middle. I gate checked this bag both times, but from the holes and dirt, they were still hard on it. Again, better the bag than the seat. The holes aren't huge, and I imagine I should be able to get several more trips out of this bag. We are not frequent flyers so this bag will last us for some time. If you travel a lot with your baby, I would consider upgrading from this bag. For our needs it works fine.

5.0 out of 5 stars It DOES fit Britax car seats, May 4, 2011

I was concerned since a previous reviewer stated this product would not fit around a Britax Marathon car seat. According to Britax, the Marathon is the same dimensions as our Boulevard CS. I took a gamble and purchased it anyway. Our seat fit in this bag with room to spare. I assume even the larger Britax Advocate CS would fit this bag. Jeep may have increased the dimensions of this product since the previous review was written to accommodate Britax. Overall the bag is well made from thick water resistant material, reinforced handle, staggered/adjustable shoulder strap and even has a zippered side pocket. Great value for the money!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fits better than I thought, May 28, 2010

I bought this for my Britax Roundabout car seat, and even though it looked too small, it actually completely covered the car seat. We've only used it once, but it made it to and from gate check just fine. It could have been made with a better carrying handle, but it's doable. Since we wanted to gate check our car seat and stroller (Baby jogger City Classic single), we borrowed another one for that and with the wheels removed, it fit, too! No complaints from me... pretty happy with this cover!

This bag does just what it says: protects car seat during travel. Graco SafeSeat fits nicely. Took it on an international flight, and it came through without any snags or rips.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works for Britax, March 5, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Jeep Car Seat Travel Bag (Baby Product)
It didn't fit on the first try, but after looking at the shape of the bag, I realized that it is an oddly shaped bag for an oddly shaped object, and orientation matters. After figuring that out, My Britax Advocate 70 fit perfectly, with enough room for a stuffed backpack and our bjorn. We could have put more in there too. Nice for a free gate check. It's really sturdy fabric, with a handle, and an optional shoulder strap. It also has a decent sized zipper compartment on the outside for smaller items.

Load the bag as follows: Put the bag on the floor, unzipped. Put the carseat in so that the back center of the car seat is where the bag's handle is. Go around the bag, making sure there's not a bunch of fabric stuck under the seat. Once the fabric is pulled up from underneath, the bag zips with the zipper going over the top-center, and down over the front-center of the car seat. Easy the second time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great travel accessory., December 28, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Jeep Car Seat Travel Bag (Baby Product)
This is a great purchase. The bag is large enough for a Graco Snugride 35 with the base, plus has room to pack some extra diapers and towels. The construction is sturdy and it held up well to a long week of flight and travel to visit family and friends. For the price, I can't see why you wouldn't want to have one of these - even if you only use it once, it more than pays for itself by protecting your car seat from damage during travel.

I've just purchased my second bag. The first one wore out. We traveled with it for 19 months and over 30,000 miles on airplanes. We use it for the maxicosi seats: the infant and the toddler seats. They each fit perfectly.

We have not babied this bag in the least. Between travels, it gets folded down into the garage. No special cleaning. No dust-free storage. The handle and strapping for the handle are superb. Never a problem. One of the zippers broke along the way, but the other zipper made up for it (it has divided zippers). The bag did get small tears and worn spots with use which we reinforced with duct tape as needed. Looking at the new pictures here, it appears to be better reinforced than our version from two years ago. I think that's exactly what this bag needed.

I purchased a replacement because for what this bag offers, $20 is the right pricing point. I could get a more expensive bag, but there is no guarantee with today's baggage handlers that it would prove any better (and could cost twice as much).
