About the Author

After paying his dues working in a variety of dusty auto parts stores, and then earning a journalism degree from Southwest Texas State University, Steve Statham's career in automotive journalism started with a stint as managing editor at Super Ford magazine. He later served as the editor of Musclecar Enthusiast magazine for many years. Along the way, he has authored and photographed 12 books on automotive history and contributed articles to dozens of automotive and off-roading publications. Steve also writes fiction, and his new novel is Rules of Force, a sci-fi thriller. When not writing or editing, Statham tries to find time to take his wife and daughter out cruisin' in his 1968 GTO.

This is absolutely one of his and the markets best book. Magnificent photography--the places the photos were shot at accented the Jeeps ruggedness. Steve's writing skills are superb. A must buy for Jeep lovers and auto lovers alike! This book

More detailed than the book "Jeep" by Jim Allen. Get a little deeper into the "Jeepmania". Also recommended for new Jeep enthusiasts and people considering buying a vintage Jeep for hobby or restoration. Helps orient one to make the right choice.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Pictures, June 26, 2000
This review is from: Jeep Color History (Paperback)
This book has some great pictures. It is the best book on Jeep history I've seen. I especially liked the part on the Jeepsters.

I liked this book alot better than "The story of Jeeps".
