3.0 out of 5 stars Good stroller for taking walks
I use the stroller mostly for taking walks, not running errands. It's much easier to use than the strollers I was using previously, except as others have also noted, when you have to turn. It's harder to turn the more weight that is in the stroller. It's a piece of cake if I only have my 7 month old son in the stroller.

I love the extra storage space...

1.0 out of 5 stars Bad Buy, February 25, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Jeep Tandem Traveler Stroller (Baby Product)
This stroller has a great concept but poor manufacturing. After having the stroller for 2 weeks it stopped collapsing properly and a piece broke off of it. For being a Jeep product it has poor quality. After it was 2 months old part of the sun shield broke off that secured the baby seat carrier. This stroller is now useless to us and isn't even 90 days old!

I love the extra storage space underneath. We take walks even in the winter time and I like to store extra blankets, hats and food underneath. I do wish there was a tray for the parents near the handle. I like to have my cell phone, snacks, chapstick, etc. handy without stopping and the single cup holder doesn't have enough storage.

The front seat seems a little tight for an older child, but at least the seat reclines to provide more space. I haven't had to fold it up much to place in the trunk (which fits into my sedan easily), but during the times I have, I have needed help from my husband to do so. The back canopy also came loose on one side, but I am still able to use it. It's just a little wobbly.

2.0 out of 5 stars Fine at first, then it gets worse, February 11, 2010
This review is from: Jeep Tandem Traveler Stroller (Baby Product)
I bought this stroller for our twin daughters when they were 8 months old. I chose the Jeep Traveler Tandem mainly because of its compact size -- it folds to fit easily into the trunk of my Honda Accord.

At first, I liked the stroller. It felt rugged, had decent storage, a parent cup holder, and of course, the compact size. It also steered pretty easily in tight spaces such as department stores.

But the longer I own it, the more I hate it.

PROS

1) Good price for a tandem stroller.
2) Fits into a regular sedan trunk.
3) Parent cupholder.
4) Okay storage space underneath.
5) Both seats recline really nicely.

CONS

1) The sun shades on this stroller are basically useless. The front shade barely provides any protection, and both shades constantly fall down, especially the back one. The worst part it, the rear shade is constantly in the way. When it's folded back out of the way, it covers the storage basket underneath, making it impossible to reach inside the basket without struggling to get the bulky shade out of the way.
2) The shoulder straps for the kids are very difficult to adjust. The strap that goes between the baby's legs doesn't adjust at all, so it's now pulling up on the baby.
3) Though lighter than other tandem strollers, the Jeep Traveler Tandem is still pretty heavy for me to haul up into the trunk.
4) My biggest complaint is the steering. It was fine when my kids were light (13 pounds each), but now that they're over 20 pounds each, the stroller is a major pain to steer. It's so hard to push sometimes that I think I've left the brake on when I haven't. Absolutely awful.

I did like that it's a budget-friendly stroller, but I guess you get what you pay for. We've had this for 7 months and I've hated for the past 3 months, so really I got 4 good months of use out it. Waste of money in the end. Now I have to find something else that will last a while. I should have spent the money on a great twin stroller to begin with.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Useful, June 16, 2011

The Best Stroller all around

I have a 3 month baby a toddler and a teenager. I have big responsabilities that demands for me to walk out a lot with my children, so in order to be able to keep doing this with my new baby we needed a stroller that can not only take two at a time but to feel my kids are safe not able to fight or hit each other (some toddlers are restless like mine)and be able to watch the youngest while strolling. So I did a lot of search through the web and saw many double strollers but the majority were too wide to fit most doors they were also too bulky for my taste, with bad reviews and infant car seat front facing (I would have to stop every time I want to check on my baby). So I went for this product first; because I know Jeep is a reliable brandname and second I just loved all the features it offers. I had this stroller for about a month now and I can't complaint at all. I have a lot of experience with strollers have had about 6 different brandnames since my first child, and this has been not only the lightest stroller but the most maneuverable, considering of course what weight it carries. My toddler is really amuse and enjoys having his own steering wheel while riding on the jeep stroller. Meanwhile I can take care right away of any needs my infant may have, while enjoying the view of a beautiful park. Thanks a lot for making my life a lot easier Jeep!

2.0 out of 5 stars Hard to push once full, March 21, 2011
This review is from: Jeep Tandem Traveler Stroller (Baby Product)
I loved the herky wheels and so many things about this stroller. I pushed every one they had at the store around and choose this one. But once I got it home and put my kids in it, it was very difficult and the wheels had a mind of their own. You have to put the heavier child in the back otherwise it's beyond miserable. I used it for mainly walking....we even took it to Disneyland. As soon as we got back to town we returned it! When I bought it my kids were 4 1/2 & 1 1/2. I have a baby on the way now, and have to look for a new one that will work for a infant and 3 yr old.

It folded up fairly easily and didn't take up as much space as many other double strollers. That was a great feature, but I still wouldn't suggest this one to anyone.

1.0 out of 5 stars Really awful stroller, January 5, 2011

This stroller is so difficult to maneuver. I have to throw my whole body weight (and I'm not a lightweight) behind it to get it to turn. After one month of using it, it wouldn't come out of collapse mode anymore. I called customer service and they were rude and in the end told me I had to ship it to their facility at my own expense so their engineers could look at it. Whatever. So I just held onto it and then finally after trying to work on getting it to lock up right every time I got, it finally did it. Then it wouldn't collapse. And still won't collapse and it's been 8 months. So am I dissatisfied? Yes, entirely. Not only is it heavy and hard to turn but it's collapse function is faulty. I would give it no stars if I could.

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible Stroller, December 5, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Jeep Tandem Traveler Stroller (Baby Product)
Only thing good was the free shipping, but now we are trying to ship it back b/c it is the worst stroller ever. I am a very active mother and it is so hard to push the stroller with my two year old daughter and 5 week old son. It is very difficult to move side to side and we haven't had for very long, used a handful of times, and the umbrella piece has broken. I was very disappointed, since it came from Jeep...you would think they would have had to approve a product to function well. I know double strollers are going to be heavy, and I have no trouble lifting into my car (40 lbs), but pushing it is a nightmare!

1.0 out of 5 stars No good for heavy kids!, November 26, 2010

I have two boys that are big for their ages. I have a 2 year old that is 40 pounds and a 14 month old that is 30 pounds and I can barely push this stroller with both of them in it. It's almost impossible for me to turn a corner with this stroller. The basket underneath is terrible. It falls open whenever we put anything in it. The umbrella's are useless and don't stay up and it's extremely difficult to close! The little stearing wheel in the front doesn't beep and it falls off all the time.

1.0 out of 5 stars The WORST stroller, February 2, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Jeep Tandem Traveler Stroller (Baby Product)
I have two prior stollers before I purchased this Jeep Tandem Traveler. As I thought that this was a good brand, I was wrong. I had the stroller delivered to Las Vegas since I was going to spend the holidays there with my family. We were able to use it in Las Vegas from Dec. 25 to Jan. 5. Between those times, it was already showing a little defect on the handle. It would not go down smoothly. The day came that I had to go back to my home country the Philippines. As we were nearing the last x-ray check at Mccarran Airport in Las Vegas, the stroller handle would not go down anymore. To be able to fold the stoller, the handle must go down. Can you imagine the embarassment we had to go through. We held up the line for 20 mins. In the end, they had to fly it un-folded. Now, I am back in the Philippines and the stroller would not fold anymore. I have an unusable stroller since I could not fold it and put it in the trunk of the car. This is not a good brand and I will be requesting for a refund for this item. But there is a catch, they just emailed me that I can only return the item from the delivery address but I'm already back in the Philippines. The shipping cost to send the item back to where it was delivered is more expensive than the value of the item itself. What a waste of money.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worse Buy Ever, April 22, 2010
By
This review is from: Jeep Tandem Traveler Stroller (Baby Product)
I have had absolutely nothing but trouble with this stroller each and every time we use it. It is poorly manufactured and next to impossible to close. Each time we have tried to use it we've been stuck in the parking lot for upwards of a half an hour to fourty-five minutes trying to get it to close properly. We've had up to four people trying to close it at one time and still not been able to close it. Its horrendous! Not only that, but its heavy and takes a lot of muscle to maneuver. Most of the time I have to use my full force and all of my effort just to turn a corner. It's hands down the worst purchase we've ever made.
