5.0 out of 5 stars Great bike.
I've only ridden around on this bike a few times, but I already think it's great. I guess I'm not used to a bike feeling "cushy" but that's how this bike feels. It's very comfortable to ride and everything seems to fit me very well. I couldn't really get the front fender on correctly so I just left it off. Everything is quite sturdy. The gear changers are a little...

2.0 out of 5 stars This is not Jeep Quality
I bought this based on the pictures of a Overland S Jeep bike. I was expecting a shock on the seat post and adjustable handlebars (the entire reason for me buying a "compfort bike" this bike arrived with neither. This review is based on a $200 bike. The handgrips are small/awkward. Frame is a good size. The seat and ride is VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. I will need to buy the seat...

It's very comfortable to ride and everything seems to fit me very well. I couldn't really get the front fender on correctly so I just left it off. Everything is quite sturdy. The gear changers are a little different that bikes than I'm used to. There are a few clicks on the handle knob between each gear so that the derailler moves slightly with each click. I guess that is so that you can find just the right spot. I highly recommend this bike. It rides like a much more expensive bike than it is.

Really great bicycle for an amatuer bicyclist for the price I paid. It is really fun to ride. I am enjoying and getting exercise at the same time.

Wife & I are 60'ish, haven't ridden bikes in years but wanted to get back into it for casual exercise on flat terrain. We really enjoy these Jeep Overlands...May not be a purists idea of a bike, but suits our needs well.
Quality is better than I expected with a nice fit...Only exception was the saddle - we needed w-i-d-e-r and softer, so had them replaced. They hang off the back of the motorhome and get used wherever we camp....Light enough for one person to lift. If I was to buy new bikes today, I'd order just what we did originally.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good bike, no doubt., April 2, 2007
This review is from: Jeep Overland S Men's 26-Inch Comfort Bike (Sports)
The bike came quickly and on time. It came damage free and was well packaged. Assembly was minor and all that was needed was an Allen Wrench. Now to the bike. The picture doesn't do it justice, it is really a nice looking bike. The cover for the front sprockets is chromed, which gives it a nice look. A very light bike. I didn't have to have the derailures tuned at all, they worked very well right out of the box, which is a surprise. If you are looking for some hard core riding, then this is not the bike for you. If you are just looking to do some cruising around town, then this is just the right bike for you. I enjoy riding it, I was a little sceptical at first since I like to get bloody and muddy on my other bike, but this is good to just relax and cruise on. Highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great ride for the price!, March 8, 2007
This review is from: Jeep Overland S Men's 26-Inch Comfort Bike (Sports)
If you are looking to commute to work, cruise around town, around the park, or work up to a 15-30 mile ride, this is the bike for you. For 100 mile races, or extreme mountain trails, you might want to invest a little more money and get something tougher and lighter. But for an old guy like me, who hasn't ridden in 20 years, this "comfort" hybrid is just the ticket! I think it is good quality for the dollars spent. I would recommend it to all my "over the hill - needing to get back in shape" friends.

2.0 out of 5 stars This is not Jeep Quality, September 11, 2007

I bought this based on the pictures of a Overland S Jeep bike. I was expecting a shock on the seat post and adjustable handlebars (the entire reason for me buying a "compfort bike" this bike arrived with neither. This review is based on a $200 bike. The handgrips are small/awkward. Frame is a good size. The seat and ride is VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. I will need to buy the seat post I thought it had and will need to change out the seat. It will not go into 1st gear, but Bike Aid gave me some tips to adjust it. I did not get any clarifiaction from Bike Aid on why bike is not what the Overland S bike is picture on other photos on this site. Even the parts guy looked it up and said it shows seat post shock and adjustable handlebars. For the money you are better off going to Target and bying a Schwinn off the shelf assembled. It will have better quality and features than this bike. Basically it is a Huffy bike with Jeep stickers all over it. It does pedal easy and the frame sits high, but you still are slumped over because the handlebars do not adjust (I am 6'0").

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent value for the money, January 17, 2007
This review is from: Jeep Overland S Men's 26-Inch Comfort Bike (Sports)
I wanted to get back into riding. The bike I had needed to be tuned up. After pricing those tune-up costs, I started to looked around to see what was available. I came across the Jeep Overland. It's so hard to believe the value you get for your money. It rides soooo smoothly and the shifting is something my older bike never gave me. I have ridden some other high end bikes and I saw very little difference in performance between them and the Jeep Overland, but major difference between the Jeep and your low end 10 speeds. The only problem I found (being I am short) this bike sits a little higher than my other 26", keep that in mind if you are short. But this bike is well worth your money!

2.0 out of 5 stars Low quality starter bike, March 3, 2007
This review is from: Jeep Overland S Men's 26-Inch Comfort Bike (Sports)
As soon as I opened the box I could see that this was a low quality bike. The JEEP labels and "Made in China" stickers had already started peeling off. Both wheels had bends in them. Assembly took several hours as everything that could be adjusted needed to be adjusted. I gave up on the Deralieur (sp?) in the end and took it to my local pro bike shop for adjustment. After 2 min the pro asked me "How much did you pay for this bike?". Even with his best efforts the bike will not go into the lowest gear and stay there. A turn of the handle bars clicks it out of gear. Its a cheap bike, but you get what you pay for.
