I have three children and have had 5 umbrella strollers over the years. This stroller, BY FAR, holds up better than the other similarly-priced models. The others I've had very easily turned up with broken wheels and bent frames, even with little ones.

I have three children and have had 5 umbrella strollers over the years. This stroller, BY FAR, holds up better than the other similarly-priced models. The others I've had very easily turned up with broken wheels and bent frames, even with little ones.

We take this one everywhere, but especially whenever we travel, because it leaves room for other luggage and is light and easy to use. This one has carried 4- and 5- year olds all over cobblestone streets, beaches, and rocky country roads and it just keeps going.

By the way, my spouse and I are both 5'4" and it works well for us.

I bought this stroller for my daughter when she turned one. As an umbrella stroller it works fine, however there are more bad points than good.

The main issue for my husband and I was that because we are tall, it was such a horrible time for us to push this stroller. We either hit our feet on the wheels, hunched over to push or would have to push using just two fingers on each handle to try and get a little extra length. What a pain!

These are really made for people who are not average height. We are a little taller than 5'8". I would guesstimate these to be comfortable for someone who is about 5'2".

I wish I would have found the COMBI FLARE stroller before finding this one.

Tall Parents, don't waste your money on this Jeep.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good buy - but only from a thrift store, November 10, 2008
This review is from: Jeep Wrangler All-Weather Umbrella Stroller, Fierce (Baby Product)
I bought this stroller at my local thrift store for $8.50. I was shopping and used it as a shopping cart in the thrift store and I kept kicking the wheels by accident while walking and somehow it felt pretty low. But since this is my first baby and first stroller I didn't really think much of it. Now reading another review on here - I 100% agree with the fact that if you are taller than 5.8" it will be a little uncomfortable for you. (I am about 5.7 and have a little trouble)
Despite all that I still like it a lot. Well, the little umbrella will not really protect your baby too well but it helps. It is so flexible you can hit any sharp corner with no problems. It folds together and is easy to stow away. It looks pretty nice and it fulfills its purpose. At least for me since I bought it used for $8.50.

5.0 out of 5 stars durable and easy to tote, June 24, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My husband bought this stroller against my wishes since i felt it was just an overpriced stroller that does the same as regular umbrella strollers, however, after using it a few times I've changed my mind. The handles are soft and don't cramp my wrists. I use the cupholder for his sippy cup and the saddle bags are perfect. Since there are 2 of them, my toddler uses 1 of them for his little cars and its placed close enough where he can get them out himself if he wants. The other saddle bag I use for his necessities like travel wipes, a few diapers and small snacks. The mesh backing helps keep him cool and I'm glad it has the pillow since he uses it often as he tends to nap when we're walking in the mall. I haven't rolled down the pillow to use as a backing yet since i haven't used it in cold weather yet and the stroller is great with it rolled up anyways. The hood can be pushed forward as far as you need to which is great when the sun is shining in a way that seems nothing will shield your poor kid from it. Sometimes I have it pushed as far as directly parallel to his face but as long as the sun is outta his eyes he loves it. The icing on the cake is that it still folds down to the same size as your run of the mill umbrella stroller so we can fit it everywhere!

3.0 out of 5 stars reasonably good stroller with some flaws, April 10, 2010

This is a very lightweight stroller that folds easily--I can collapse it with one arm and leg while holding my 9-month daughter with the other arm. Folded up, it takes up very little room in the tiny trunk of our tiny car. My daughter seems comfortable riding around in it, it's reasonably sturdy going over curbs and bumps in the sidewalk, and it was easy to put together. Its two main drawbacks are both a result of the sunshade. First and most importantly, the sunshade pops off without warning. So far, it's only happened when I was folding up or unfolding the stroller, but I'm worried it might happen while my baby's riding in it. I haven't yet figured out (short of duct tape) how to make sure the sunshade stays put. The less serious drawback is that this is anything but an all-weather stroller--the sunshade is too small to block the sun and would be ludicrous protection against any rain, wind, or snow. I drape a light muslin cloth over the sunshade and that helps block the sun. One more drawback: this is not a stroller for tall people. I'm 5'8" and I have to shorten my stride to push it. My husband, who's 6', has to stoop to push it, and finds that uncomfortable. This is certainly not a terrible stroller, and I still use it often because of its good qualities, but given the drawbacks I think it's overpriced.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun stroller!, September 25, 2009

I bought this stroller to take on short trips when I don't want to drag the big stroller around with me and it is a great stroller! I love the feature where you can have the back be mesh for summer time or be covered in the winter time! The canopy is a great feature as well! I like the fact it has a cup holder too! The only thing about this stroller is that if you are over 5'4" I would not buy it as it will be too short and uncomfortable for someone taller than that to push! It does really well on our gravel roads when we go for walks as well, but this stroller is definitely for older babies that can sit up well on their own. My baby will fall asleep in it from time to time but doesn't necessarily look that comfortable! It is very light weight and folds up to be small so it's easy to haul in a small car or SUV and store! Mine fits right in the corner of the closet! Otherwise it is a great buy! And it looks nice too! I have had several people ask me where I got mine!

2.0 out of 5 stars swepra, September 6, 2010
This is the second stroller I purchased for my 2 year old. I love the frame of this stroller, its very sturdy & can easily be maneuvered with one hand. However, when my son fk butalls asleep, his head tends to fall forward, he looks very uncomfortable & I have to tilt the stroller backwards & push it. I think the reason for this is the seat bottom is very short and the back is very straight with no fabric to recline. This stroller looks very sleek but does not deliver a comfortable ride!

The stroller was easy to put together. Can see where some who are less than good with their hands may have a little trouble. Hope it holds up. they don't make them like they used to.

2.0 out of 5 stars Unsafe and Short, September 3, 2009

My wife and I bought this stroller for our 10 month old last week. After two days of use we were forced to take it back! The clips that strap your child in are made of two pieces of plastic joined by about 1/16th of an inch... this broke at some point during the second day, and the clip would no longer clip. Luckily we found the break before our son fell out!

Also, more minor points, the fabric of the seat tore very easily under normal use (though our son is rambunctious). As others have noted, it is very short and the footprint is very narrow, so I (5'11" with a long stride) was not only hunched over the bars, but also kicking the wheels. I will say, however, that that is usually the norm for umbrella strollers. Also, the harness seemed short and didn't secure around our son's waist at a very good point--he was often wiggling a full 180 degrees around to look at us, or hanging out of one side or the other to look at the ground as it passed under him.

Pros: This stroller is very light weight, compacts easily, and can be comfortably steered with one hand. If it weren't for the clip breaking so easily, we would still use it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Wish I wouldn't have, June 25, 2010
We were making a last minute trip out of state and needed an umbrella stroller for our 2 year old daughter. I liked the features of the Jeep Wrangler All Weather stroller. The backing is able to roll up to make a nice little pillow and allow cool air to circulate during the hotter temperatures. I also liked the solid cup holder for parents and the cargo bags, which are handy for storing snacks or small toys. I'm 5'3" and didn't have any difficulty pushing the stroller, I didn't kick the wheels at all.
However there are some HUGE problems with the stroller. First off, no matter how much I tightened the seat belt my daughter could manage to stand up. I have never had this problem with any stroller before. And the foot rest is a joke! She would rest her feet on it and it would rub on the wheels which then made it hard to push. I tried turning it around which lasted short term. Also if you have anything hung from the handles- which you have to do since there is no basket and it's impossible to carry bags and push a stroller- do not remove your child without removing the bags first! It tips over so easily. I swear the wind would blow and there it went!! Needless to say, this was the worst impulse buy we have ever made and it's going back to the store!
