5.0 out of 5 stars The life and times of Jeeves..., January 15, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Where did Jeeves come from? What family did he come from? Where did he learn to become the learned and serious minded Gentleman's Gentleman that we all have come to know and love in the novel? And what happened to him after his retirement? The answers are all here, in this lovely, informative book by C. Northcote Parkinson.

3.0 out of 5 stars A disappointment, December 26, 2011
By
As a long-time aficionado of everything written by P. G. Wodehouse, perhaps my expectations for this book were unrealistic. My favorite characters have always been Jeeves and Wooster so I eagerly began reading this book. Sadly, the words lack-luster and dull immediately spring to mind. The place and character names would cause even Wodehouse to cringe. But, when Lord Peter Wimsey, Father Brown, and Hercule Poirot were woven into the story, I went right over the edge. This is an okay read for anyone who has no knowledge of Jeeves, P. G. Wodehouse, or English literature in general.
