Amazon.com is the most exciting site on the Internet, but how did the site get started? Judy Garty condenses the story of Amazon.com by telling the story of Jeff Bezos and his vision for the biggest bookstore on earth. She explains how Jeff Bezos left New York to start a business in Seattle, Washington. We learn about his experience with building computer programs and also learn about his childhood. There are interesting things like how Jeff Bezos had a pet raccoon as a child and how as an adult he paid $40,000 for a skeleton of an Ice Age cave bear. This is quite a short book with only forty-eight pages.
