first off, i do want to say that the book looks nice enough. i purchased this jefferson nickels 38-67, the roosevelt dimes 46-64, and the lincoln wheat cents 09-58 albums, all from warman's. they are glossy and have a nice insert page that gives a brief history of the series.

the other two books are great, and i have yet to find issue with the slots included in the other two either. however, this nickels album is different. now, i can understand leaving out some die varieties, which this album does. for instance, the 1939 and 1939D type I varieties don't have a slot, but the type II varieties do. however, what about 1939S? it's completely missing from this album! if you don't believe me that such an egregious error could be made, click the product image at the top of the listing to "look inside" and you'll see what i mean...

in the product description at the top of the page, you can find the following sentence: "With this professional-quality three-panel folder you can proudly display your piece of history, along with the other 74 Jefferson nickels issued between 1938 and 1967." that statement is correct; there are 74 jefferson nickels from 1938-67 if you count all the year/mint combinations. if you'll notice however, there are only 73 labeled slots in the album.

i bought the warman's albums because they were cheaper than the alternatives. now i see why. seriously, if a coin album manufacturer can't even correctly list all the necessary coins included in the series, what does that say about the overall quality of the product?

I collect circulated nickels -- from my cash register at work -- and I search nickel rolls from the bank.
I have an unusual opportunity, being that I live in Germany. Working at an AMERICAN Army Base, that closes
this year lets me "find" American money that has BEEN in Europe for over 72-years! If you are new to such a
hobby, the hardest nickels to find -- here -- are 1938; 1942; 1943; 1944; 1945; 1950; and 1951. Of THOSE,
I have less 1950 (four) nickels than all the rest. I've got 3 Liberty head nickels(1903-'11); and nine dif-
ferent Buffalo nickels ('13-'38). I've got 217 Jefferson nickels from 1941-'45. I have 400 nickels from the
years 1939-1941. Remember, these are nickels I found in my pocket or cash register!

I am grateful that THIS nickel folder goes through 1967 -- the year I got out of highschool, instead of the
normal 1961... which was n-ot-h-i-n-g to me!

I might add, I am also thankful that the vendor CHOSE to mail it TO my location in Europe!

Thanks!

a great product at a very reasonable price. I prefer all of the Warman coin folders. They are better than their competition.

wish they did old coin folders too. Best layout and coin info of any folder that I have seen. Love the mintage numbers.

I bought 4 or 5 Whitman albumns at one time and haven't had time so far, for this one . I worked in at least 2 of them and have no complaints except that some of the wholes are so tight that my husband had to rig up a punch for me that wouldn't damage the coins. Even he could not press the coins in.
