4.0 out of 5 stars Great organization tool, could be built better
The collector's book has holes the size of the coins cut out, with labels under every hole with the specific year, mint, and sometimes other information about the coin for the hole. I have found it very hard to keep a collection of circulating coins without whitman portfolios.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not a good folder
I was very dissapointed with how cheaply made this folder is. The holes for the coins are much to small, and when you apply pressure to insert the coins, you end up tearing through the folder. The Whitman folders I purchased years ago are much better than these. I suggest you look for other coin folders. The printing on the cover looks very cheap and is not up to the...

This review is from: Jefferson Nickels Folder 1962-1995 (Official Whitman Coin Folder) (Hardcover)
The collector's book has holes the size of the coins cut out, with labels under every hole with the specific year, mint, and sometimes other information about the coin for the hole. I have found it very hard to keep a collection of circulating coins without whitman portfolios.

I took off a star because of two flaws in its design. Most importantly, the backing is very thin, and clearly shows every coin you've pressed into the other side. Also, the coins stay in place by pressing the surrounding posterboard outwards. That means that the force used to put the coin into the book is far more than the force holding it in, and it cane sometimes be a struggle to get a coin to fit.

Just like the Whitman coin folders from when I was a child, good quality, fair price. Excellent option to hold a modest collection in the building stage, until you're ready to move your collection to a better quality folder such as Dansco.

This was a helpful adjustment to my collection. It organized it greatly. I completed it a couple weeks ago, after only a few weeks of having it. Easy to fit and they don't fall out!
PS....SHERLOCK HOLMES 2 WAS THE BOMBANATION! *****.......sorry about that.

As always, I'm quite satisfied with this Whitman Coin Folder. For the price, you can be assured you're getting a good product for your money. These folders are great for beginning coin collectors and children; I fondly remember the folders my father gave me as a child, and I continue to use them to this day. An excellent, and somewhat educational gift for children!

This is a very good product. In came with extra information and coupons that I was not expecting. It is very well made and an excellent collectors piece. The only problem is that the coins are difficult to put in and once there in they are in to stay.

Whitman Jefferson nickels (1961-1995)) collection is a good quality folder for the new and old collectors alike. Each of its 3 pages has slots for holding coins minted during this area. Each slot has printed below it the date and mint of the coin it is intended to hold and how many of the coin was minted. Read the directions and inserting the coins is no problem. this would make a great "tooth fairy" album because most of the coins needed for it are still findable. if you like to collect out of your pocket change, this is probably for you =)

Picked this up and several other coin folders from Whitman and I am very happy with them. This Nickel coin folder holds the coins well and the coins sit just right that you can insert them with your finger and feel secure that it wont pop off. Recommended!
