The brilliant Khaner (first chair flute for the Philadelphia Orchestra) plays a wonderful program of tonal 20th century American flute pieces, some classics, others that should be. Not a wrong note to be found. This artist-run label deserves our enthusiastic support.

This recording served as my first exposure to music written for flute, and I very much enjoy listening to it as an alternative to chamber music written primarily for strings. The compositions are modern and played with great feeling and expression by both Khaner and Sung. Khaner's British and French flute music recordings are also highly recommended.
