5.0 out of 5 stars Get it!, December 3, 2004

This review is from: Jeffrey Osborne (Audio CD)
His best album, period. All songs are master pieces. Also it's a showcase for the horn section and Louis Johnson on bass. Just listen to "ready for your love" and "Ain't nothin' missin', Fantastic!!

This review is from: Jeffrey Osborne (Audio CD)
This album came out when I was btwn my junior and senior year in High School and it was given to me by my first love as a gift. It was terrific back then..and I do mean every song on it! I just loved it and I played it soooo much..Jeffrey hit the ground running with this solo debut..and it is now a classic.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Grand New Era!, August 18, 2003
This review is from: Jeffrey Osborne (Audio CD)
Jeffrey Osborne begins his solo career wonderfully by
recruiting the production assistance of George Duke for a flowing
funk/pop collection on a par with his best work with LTD.But like
his old band Osborne tends to overindulge in smarmy pop/R&B
ballads that drag the mood of about half this album down a tad.
But in slick grooves like "New Love" and "I Really Don't Need
No Light",saddled to horn-heavy uptempo funk like "Ready For Your
Love","Who You Talkin' To?" and "Ain't Nothin' Missin" we are
reminded that even though he now considers himself a contemporary
adult soul balladeer Jeffrey Osborne is (and has continued to be)
a funkiteer at his heart.Amazing!

5.0 out of 5 stars Grand Slam!, December 23, 1999
This review is from: Jeffrey Osborne (Audio CD)
His first project after LTD and he hit a grand slam. I wish LTD would have a reunion, but I won't hold my breath. This is an excellent CD and a must buy. My favorite songs: New Love, Baby

This is Jeffrey Osborne's first solo album after parting with LTD. Geroge Duke heads up the Production with a chilling staff of musicians like the great Larry Graham and Louis Johnson on Bass and Paulinho Dacosta percussion and so many more. this is the apitomy of R&B and is his greatest solo effort. A MUST HAVE!!

Jeffrey Osborne does not get the recognition that he so greatly deserves. He is one of the great male vocalist of the generation.

First off, I'm amazed that this CD was even available. Second, I'm absolutely amazed that it was BRAND NEW!! Not used and resealed in plastic and pawned off as new (like some DVD's I've ordered from other places), but actually brand new, never before opened!! And it came much quicker than I was expecting. I'm absolutely completely satisfied!!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of his best!, May 6, 2010

I'm a huge fan of this man. He is one of the few male vocalist that I idolized growing up. And this CD is one of his best.

My favorites are "Baby" and "You were made to love" but there are a number of cuts that are top notch. If your a fan as I am, you need to have this one.
