Great Live CD!, October 23, 2001

I found this CD a year or so before Mullins hit it big with "Lullabye". Picked it up in Atlanta after listening to it at a listening station of local artists, at a major chain bookstore. The cover of James Taylor's "Frozen Man" is better than the original, and I LOVE JT! Kahler and Mullins swap songs on this CD and Volume 2. "Shimmer" and "Spring Forward, Fall Back" are two more great songs on here. There isn't much more than their voices and guitars, no bassists, drummers or backing vocalists. This is a recording an appearance at an Atlanta bar or club. You can hear the crowd and they seem to get into it. If you like intelligent songs and great performances then this is for you.
