This is a great app..... Good for keeping track for your workouts and progress BUT the big problem is that you can not edit saved sets....meaning that if you fat finger something and save it or your phone wakes up in your pocket and saves some crazy numbers during your workout you can not go back and delete the set OR edit the set, so you are just stuck with what ever numbers are saved...... For example...Jefit in running on my phone which I also use as my MP3 player... I was bench pressing and on my Second set I was doning 165 pounds for 12 reps I saved my set.. placed my phone back in my pocket and did my next set when I took back out my phone I noticed that ether I did not put my phone to sleep OR it woke up in my pocket and I have saved my final set saying I did 1650 pounds with 1284 reps and it saved and moved to the next exercise..... There is no way to go back and edit these numbers so now my workout progress is not accurate which is one of the reason I wanted this app.... I really hope that they come out with an update that fixes this issue .... Other than that it is the best workout app out there..... I have tried them all.....

This app really shines in developing and utilizing body stats and strength training. It is not great for cardio, though very servicable. It is simple to create a couple routines, and then just go through your week. I like that it can be set to either have it put your goals or your previous weight/reps in. I hit the save button for the exercise I just did, it pulls up the next. I can see its name, the weight to get ready, and the reps to shoot for quick and simple. It has a long list of reps and a long list of weights as icons, so just tap what you did and hit save. I have a pet peeve here or there, like it always shows the reps you did before at the very top, with more reps below it. That is fine if you did the same number of reps or more, but not if you did less. I do a muscle confusion routing so only do 1 set of an exercise and come back to it later in the workout. If I do less reps the second time around, or go up in weight from the last time and do reps, I have to scroll up. That is such a minor thing though. Another is I cannot edit the exercise name or enter a note that will always show up. I may do bent over row in horizontal grip and vertical grip in one day, and I wish I could add a note or edit the exercise to display the two. I know I could create a custom exercise, but I like the way the standard ones show up better. Again, both these things are very minor and I highly recommend this for body stat tracking and as a strength training app. If you are only going to do cardio, may be other better ones out there. For weight lifting, this one is top notch.

It can be very difficult to keep track of workout stats. My process before picking up this app included keeping a written log, and then transferring the stats to an excel spreadsheet so that I might graph my progress later on. This was most useful for my body weight, but I also kept track of the major exercises. This application does all of that and more. Body measurements, lifting stats, cardio, etc.

The good:

> There are a ton of different exercises, and with the download of a free addon, there are animated examples of how to perform the exercises. This is excellent if you are trying to switch up your workout and keep your body guessing, without having a personal trainer there to guide you on how to perform new exercises.

> You can add in your own exercise if it is not included in the database.

> You can create a routine beforehand. This is very useful for me as I tend to bounce around between machines. Being able to plan my workout has helped me to stay focused on a muscle group. In addition, the application allows you to set rest times between sets. Before this app, I had no idea how long of breaks I was taking between sets (as it turns out, I was probably going through sets too quickly. See con #3).

> You can see what the last weight you lifted on any given exercise. This makes it very easy to ensure that you are progressively lifting more weight.


> The user interface can be a little confusing. For instance, if you want to do a routine, you have to make sure that you have set the routine to the right day, which involves clicking through several menus. If you accidentally entered the incorrect weight on a set, you have to exit the routine in order to change the weight.

Everything I was looking for and then some. The app allows searches by muscle isolated, equipment involved, etc. If you only have dumbbells and a weight bench, plug it in and returns only those exercises you have the equipment to do. It even has multiple exercises that require nothing but your body. Download the optional animation pack and see the exercise demonstrated.

Tracking graphs show your progress at the touch of a button.

This app replaced my old notebook, the only thing this lacks is a strong cardio program... but for the bodybuilder looking to maximize his/her gains, whether it be building mass or toning and definition this app has it all. Kudos to the authors. May it always be free
