About Kraft
Kraft has come a long way since 29-year-old James L. Kraft moved from Ontario, canada, to Chicago and started selling cheese to grocers from a horse-drawn wagon. In fact, the story dates back further, since for more than 200 years, many companies have united to make Kraft Foods what it is today. It started before the Revolution--in Dorchester, Massachusetts--when, in 1765, a local physician, Dr. James Baker, went into partnership with a young Irish chocolate-maker, John Hannon. It was America's first chocolate mill, where, in 1780, they made a blend of quality chocolate called Baker's chocolate. Baker's chocolate was the first of a long list of companies that have joined Kraft Foods, Inc., in making good food for busy families.
In 1988, Kraft became part of Philip Morris Companies Inc., and a year later Philip Morris Companies combined Kraft and General Foods Corp. to form Kraft General Foods, the largest food company in the U.S. Some of the most popular and well-known brands in the Kraft family include Maxwell House, Yuban, Oscar Mayer, Breakstone, Grape-Nuts, Jell-O, Post, Minute Rice, Cheez Whiz, Cracker Barrell, Tang, Cool Whip, Shake 'N Bake, Stove Top, General Foods International Coffees, and many, many more.

Great for the creative cook!,

I used to make my own flans and creme brulee but I tried this flan mix and rarely make it from scratch anymore. However, I have discovered that I can make a lot of changes and create some truly scrumptious desserts that are my "own". Here are some options: Use heavy creme for half of the milk. Use coconut milk instead of regular milk. Both produce a silky smooth and elegant custard. Add fresh lime or lemon juice for part of the milk, but add it right at the end of the cooking process. Instead of the enclosed sauce, use marmalade, lingonberry, mango or blueberry preserves, spreading it around the bottom of your custard cups before adding the cooked custard. If you are serving 6-8 people you will need to start with two packages of the mix. I don't have names for what I create, but I sure get raves from everyone who tries them. Only thing is, don't make these rich desserts very often or you will clog up your arteries.
I have been having a hard time finding this product in local grocery stores so was happy to see Amazon now sells it. And, subscribe and save is a great deal, if you cook as much as I do.

These are very good. It's not 100% authentic flan but it's flavor is pretty close.
The difference between this flan & most other flans is that this jell-o one has a softer texture. Kind of like a custard. But that makes no difference to me. The flavor is great. The caramel is nice and sweet.and the flan is creamy. they just go well together! I can probably eat 2 whole boxes on my own! (well maybe) Oh and this is a great vegetarian item! No gelatin or eggs! 5/5 I also got the fastest shipping ever! Amazon's shipping facility was only a few miles away. So I got my item the next day! P.S the caramel does not form with the flan. it will just stay at the bottom of the bowl/cup. this does not bother me. but if presentation matters to you. you might want to add the caramel last. after your flan is already firm and refrigerated

My husband loves flan, he wants me to make it every week, but I make such a mess with the caramelized sugar that I dread cleaning it up, so I thought I would buy a case of this while it was on sale. It's very tasty, it has less caramel than I make when I home cook it, but it's acceptable. One package doesn't make a whole lot of flan, but it's no more trouble to make two than it is one
