These foam brushes are the only type that will hold its shape and product throughout sustained use. They can be rinsed out in the case of H2O base coats. Others have a plastic insert/core which in the process of use eventually tears through the foam and gives a wimpy piece of foam that will not flow on material. These hold up and they hold sufficient material to flow on a decent coat. I've tried them all and these are the only foam brushes I will use.

This was my second or third order of these inexpensive brushes. I use these 1" foam brushes for coating my custom leather holsters with dye as well as applying oil and also to apply the top coat. They are so inexpensive per brush, you can really use as many as you need without mixing colors or rinsing brushes. Just use it and throw them away. No mess. They may be a bit on the flimsy side for house painting but as a former professional house painter, I would never use a foam brush for painting a bedroom anyway. Can probably be used for some light cutting in to the ceiling if you must use a foam brush or maybe some light molding or trim work but these ARE NOT heavy duty brushes.
These are PERFECT for crafts of any sort and if your little kids like to paint, have these brushes on hand and just throw them away when they are done. Cleanup is a breeze. Absolutely perfect for crafting and light hobby work where you are painting smaller areas at a time. So far I've used these brushes with leather oil, leather dye, latex paint, resin and they work great. The kids also like "stealing" some from me to paint with water in the driveway.

I agree with the other review , Jen foam brushes are the best , made in the USA !
I have used other brands made in China and the quality was nowhere near the Jen brushes . the Chinese junk I had to staple the foam to the insert to get it to stay on . the Jen foam is glued or molded securely to the wooden handle . also the Jen foam is firmer than the Chinese foam . So I always buy Jen foam brushes ! |
