First time, ordered a case of 36 foam brushes and promptly received 1 brush in the mail. Second time, after calling to complain I was informed that they were having trouble with the "quantities". I promptly received 35 brushes in the mail. The brushes were stuffed in paper bags and as you could imagine the foam edges were bent and generaly unusable. Third time, after calling to complain again I received 36 brushes in the factory box that were in perfect condition. It was a lot of effort for 36 foam brushes but the vendor hung in there until things were right.

These brushes are good when you don't want to worry about cleaning a bristle brush--just throw away after use. I have used them for varnishing and they work well, are clean when you start and leave no hairs in the finish. They put down quite a lot of varnish which has flowed out well.

Jen foam brushes are the only ones I've found that you can clean with paint thinner or mineral spirits and still hold together. The other foam brushes' glue quickly degrades and they fall apart. Also the Jen brushes' foam is stiffer, so they don't sag and flop around when they become saturated.

The perfect tools for applying stains and varnishes. So-so on paint, depends on the thickness. Once you use these for polyurethane or spar varnish, you will never go back to bristle brushes.
