Beautiful Tea,
By Jaye Joyce (Brick, NJ United States) - See all my reviews

I have had this teapot for several years now. I love the clean look of the design. It pours beautifully, and viewing the tea in the glass jar is an extra bonus. The only thing that keeps me from making this a 5-star rating is the acrylic infuser. A glass infuser would be a tremendous improvement. The acrylic infuser has begun to get all kinds of stress-lines on it. Other than that, it is my favorite teapot.

Lovely little teapot,

I agree with the previous reviewer that this pot is really lovely. But I wanted potential buyers to know that the infuser that now comes with the pot is glass, like the rest of the pot, so they won't have the same issues that the previous reviewer was having with their acrylic infuser. The glass is much like Pyrex in that it takes all kinds of temperatures. It feels very delicate but it is tough as Corning, can be washed in the dishwasher, etc., tho I wouldn't drop it. I enjoy brewing tea in this pot because I can see the color of the tea change. The infuser keeps even most rooibos leaves from getting into the tea. I recommend this for any tea afficianado.

Nice design, but a little fragile,

This is a nicely designed teapot for three or four cups. I've been using it for six months, and while it was a bit thinner glass than I had hoped, it held up--for awhile. Yesterday, a piece of the cut glass at the bottom of the tea holder chipped off with little or no provocation. Now, tea leaves stream pretty freely through the hole. So it's not as useful for its purpose, which is to keep the tea out of the cup. So beware, don't count on this to be an heirloom. Otherwise, though, it's attractive and works well as long as the glass holds out.

Great for whole leaf teas,

As the previous reviewers mentioned, the teapot is great in terms of design and durability. No complaints there!! It looks adorable and I've washed it in the dishwasher for several years now with no problems. My only issue with it is when I brew certain broken leaf teas, which have finer particles, or with some of my Japanese teas, which have bits of toasted rice or matcha powder included with the whole tea leaves. They tend to clog the slits in the infuser, so I have to either use a different pot, or take out the infuser and use a strainer to filter the tea as I pour. Not a huge inconvenience for some, but if I'd known this earlier, I probably would have bought a different product.
