For Mrs. Q who has problems getting the base ring unscrewed from the blender jar, it is quite simple really. When you set the jar on the base, rather than set it in the locking position, position it to the left of that spot (the handle will be facing you) then turn the jar to the right. This allows the blender jar to easily unscrew. The blender is just beautiful, and really outperforms my kitchenaid. Ice turns to fine powder- no rocks left behind. Pours easily without mess, and doesn't leak all over the base. I love it! Only problem was deciding between the copper/clear or stainless/merlot finish. Just beautiful!!

This is the best performing blender I have ever used. It churns the product to get uniform consistency of blended product, and has the power to cut through items such as ice and cabbage. The container is attractive, which allows for it to come out of the kitchen as a serving vessel.

The only negative is price, and at $200, it is rather expensive. However, I found the blender in limited colors at Tuesday Mornings for $99.99.

I have wanted one of these blenders for about a year for its beauty. The pitcher is nice enough to serve from and pours well from the spout, rather than leaking or dripping like most conventional blenders. The motor crushes ice well for frozen drinks, so blending is very easy. If you have been looking for a powerful blender that looks nice on the counter, the Attrezzi is it! Amazon's price (mine was $174 - free shipping) can't be beat.

I grudingly bought one of these beautiful blenders for about 3 times what I've ever paid for a blender after reading many good reviews of the product on the Internet. I have to say this blender has been worth every penny! I got the white base with the gorgeous multi color glass pitcher. I used it all summer to make delicious fruit smoothies and blended coffee drinks. This powerhouse crushes ice in seconds, and then goes on the blend the drinks so evenly and smoothly that they rival the ones from the big name coffee houses. It seems these blenders are no longer being made, so I highly recommend that you track one down right away and add it to your kitchen! It's just awesome!

Pros: OK, I own this one in the copper base. This blender is the best one I have ever used. It is extremely powerful and will not choke on anything you give it. The blender pitcher holds 72 ounces... larger than most blenders. I bought the pink handblown pitcher and it is beautiful. Now I have two pitchers especially for summertime when you make more than one smoothie ... I put it in the refrigerator and I always have a pitcher on my blender. As for the top that the lady had trouble with... well...duh, it locks if you turn it and will not come off. It is there for your convenience in adding ingredients while it is processing.

Cons: Copper ... well the finish sucks. It does not hold up, it stains and weathers just like real copper. The white is the best for long-term. I think this blender is beautiful on the counter. It will hold up for ages. Jenn-Air no longer makes the Jenn-Air Atrezzi line of appliances. It was discontinued. They still support the product; however, you cannot buy any extra pitchers, etc. Which by the way, pitchers were the price of this blender on Amazon. This originally sold for 300.00.

Recommendations: This blender is a very sturdy, strong, blender. You won't be disappointed. I recommend purchasing. In fact, I am considering buying another one, but I have the copper mixer (which I recommend) (I fortunately got extra bowls before it was discontinued). Don't hesitate, it is worth every penny at this price.

I've had this blender for about two years. It's absolutely incredible! Everyone that has seen it wants one. Crushes ice in seconds. Very powerful. It would compare very favorably to commercial blenders. I highly recommend it.

I loved how this looked and worked, but tonight after a year and a half, the pitcher just shattered, in the drying rack! Thank goodness it didn't happen while I was using it!!, I would have been seriously injured.

Don't buy it! In order to replace the pitcher it would cost me $76.25!! Not worth it at all.

I loved this blender, but after three years, the pitcher shattered for no apparent reason. I had filled it with water to loosen the dried material inside. A few minutes later, I came back and it was in a hundred small, jagged pieces all over the kitchen. The glass was room temperature as was the water. Just FYI. Careful when washing it. The pieces were VERY SHARP.

Waste of money. It broke after about six months then we couldn't get a replacement part for it. I wouldn't buy this product again. Customer service was even worse.

I just bought the Artezzi blender (white base-multicolour glass pitcher). So far it performs very well and looks fantastic just sitting there. I would like to buy another glass pitcher. Any ideas on where to purchase this item?
