I'm rubbish at describing scents, but here I go:

On application the fragrance is `green'. The notes of bamboo leaves, bergamot and yuzu are fresh, but not heavy. If anything I was surprised by how light DESEO is.

After a short while the fragrance `warms' with the geranium, orange blossom and mimosa. Other people who have tried DESEO have said the scent is sweet and fruity, but I haven't experienced this. I can detect a faint hint of coconut, though there's no mention of this is in the fragrance notes. Maybe it's just because I'm reminded of suntan lotion!!

The mineral accord in the base is the most dominant for me; it lends an aquatic air to DESEO. I can also detect the woods, bringing to mind tropical woodland by a beach.

Deseo is described as having been inspired by a walk through J. Lo's garden - the notes are freesia, bergamot, pink geranium flower, jasmine, mimosa, orange blossom, oak moss, warm amber, sandalwood, cedar. The first squirt out of the bottle onto my skin made me recoil - I didn't like the initial scent at ALL. However, once it settled onto my skin, it was fairly nice - for about 1/2 hour. Then the mid-notes came out - it was (for ME, let me be careful to point out here) much too cloying for my tastes. It could very well be my body chemistry; it could be my tastes in perfume - it could be a lot of things. But I don't much care for this one. I would highly recommend testing this one before making the decision to purchase. One thing I CAN say in its favor is that it lasts quite nicely. I put it on at least 6 hours ago and I can still smell it faintly on my skin, whereas a lot of scents would be completely gone, especially considering that today is hot, I slept for awhile and I've also been in the heat and sweating. So, it does last well.
