Nice Cradle,
By A Customer
This review is from: Jenny Lind Cradle - Honey Oak (Baby Product)
We're doing practically all of our baby product shopping online so we have to count on photos and reviews. I was a bit hesitant about buying this because I wasn't sure if I liked the railing design and because of the reviewer who said this was difficult to assemble. After giving my husband several options, he said he like the look of this the best, so I ordered it. Shipping was fast -- we received the cradle within the week. It is very attractive; the wood has a very solid feel. The bottom panel is particle board, though, but I think it is solid enough for the short duration (two to three months, depending on his growth) I plan to let our baby use the cradle. The bottom panel is further supported by a metal bar as a safety precaution. And I did not find it difficult to assemble. It took me roughly 15 minutes to assemble it. (I'm 8 months along -- my husband helped a bit by holding some pieces upright so it would be easier for me to screw the screws into place.) In fact, this was much easier to assemble than the Graco Pack 'N Play we recently purchased because the dumb Graco instructions only have pictures with no written descriptions! The rolling motion is smooth and the stoppers seem to be suffient. I did not give this 5 stars because (1) like one of the earlier reviewers, I found it a bit confusing that the cradle came with washers but the instructions did not mention their use (so we did not use them) and (2) I am troubled by the fact that no where on the instructions could I find the weight limit or instructions re when to stop using this for the baby. (I also checked the box for warnings.)

I love his cradle,
By A Customer
This review is from: Jenny Lind Cradle - Honey Oak (Baby Product)
I purchased this cradle to keep my son out of my bed at night, I made that mistake with my first child who ended up sleeping with me every night until he was 3. I also purchased a moses' basket which he quickly out grew (waste of $50.00). He is now 4 mths old & can still use his cradle & it has been a life saver. I would recommend anyone to purchase a cradle simply because it can fit easily into your master bedroom either at the end or the side of your bed.

This cradle was a wonderful surprise for the price. Quality is great, looks beautiful - especially with the bedding, and quite simple to put together (had it together with bedding in 30 minutes...tops).

After reading the reviews previous to mine I was a little hesitant in purchasing this item, but I needed a cradle and this one seemed like the best fit. Once I recieved it my husband put it together within an hour. The directions were great and easy to follow. The end result is great.

I recently recieved the cradle as a gift. I'm seven months pregnant and I was able to put it together by myself without any help. For anyone that had questions about the washers included in the package, you put the washer on the screw before tightening. It prevents the screw from damaging the wood. There should be exactly ten washers, and ten screws. Hope this helps anyone who was confused!!

great for the price, but it says up to 30 pounds or 2 years of age. Ok, has anyone EVER put a 2 year old in this thing without them escaping and breaking their leg??? just curious! I assembled it myself and did not find it difficult even for me which is amazing!

Keeping as a heirloom!!,
This review is from: Jenny Lind Cradle - Honey Oak (Baby Product)
I received this as a gift from my mother. I was very impressed with the quality. I have used mine for both my boys and I am keeping it as a memory of those special times. It is very compact when broken down (we kept the original box). I'm hoping to pass it on as a family heirloom.
As for the question earlier of the weight limit, it is 16 pounds or three months. My instructions stated to stop using when the infant could push up on thier arms. I hope this review was helpful. Wishing you many precious memories with your cradle.

We all miss being rocked, no matter what time it is.,

With My first child I only had a free standing bassinet. It worked great when my baby was sleeping. In the middle of the night when he was sleepless and needed some help, it sure would have been nice to have a cradle that rocked. Now with my second due in a few months, this is a product that I will purchase if I do not receive it as a gift. I still would like the rocking motion on the long sleepless nights.

This cradle is great. We used it until our son was about 5 months old. He slept well in it also. It's a good height- not too tall. It fit next to the bed and I could easily see inside and easily lift him out without getting up. It was so cute with a cradle bumper and flannel cover over the small mattress. We did purchase a bit thicker mattress as the one that came with it was adequate, but we wanted something even thicker. It was very sturdy and simple to put together. We were so glad we purchased this simple cradle instead of some of the more expensive ones. Will save it for him. I highly recommend this cradle.

I just assembled this myself, at 8 months pregnant with no help. It took me about 15 minutes. It looks great, and is bigger than I expected it to be. I can't wait to put my little guy in it!
