This Jensen powered subwoofer and 5 suround-sound speakers make for one amazing set. When plugged into your receiver and TV, this speaker set makes you feel like you are INSIDE your favorite movie or TV show.

I was a little concerned that these speakers might not put out enough sound, but my fears were quickly put to rest when I turned the speakers on. My family room has been flooded with premium-quality sound.

I used to have a set of KLH surround sound speakers and they were HORRIBLE in comparrison. The KLH speakers (which were rated with higher wattage) put out weak, static-filled sound. These Jensen speakers were the best purchase I ever made. I got mine on sale at Circuit City for just $50 (plus $12 for a 5-year in-store warranty). One of my friends has a $400 speaker set in his house that doesn't sound as good as this. You really have to hear it to believe it. Jensen has made this customer VERY happy.

This was the 1st time reading the reviews on Amazon bit me in the you know what. I'll rate this system a 4 because I only paid $50 for it plus shipping.

I bought a new TV stand and my Yamaha center speaker would not fit anymore where I needed it. I decided to buy temporary speakers until I figured out what I needed and saw all these 5 star reviews on cheap speakers. I thought 'wow, this can't be right'. Well I'm sorry to say that the sound quality is horrible. Great for a starter kit or a college student. The Jensens had no highs or lows. They only projected midrange and sounded `tunneled'.

I won't complain too much because of the price. 50 bucks for a whole set of speakers is great. I'm not into top knotch gear, only decent gear but my point is don't believe anyone here who says they sound as good as $300 speakers. I was cracking up! No offense to the other reviewers. I had decent speakers hooked up and was able to do a side by side comparison.

Like I said I didn't expect much. I was skeptical and unpacked them very carefully as these will be repackaged as a Christmas present to my cousin. ha!

Before I bought this Home Theater Speaker System,I review others custemer comments about this item, And folks they were right.The product is exellent.

Originaly I had bought one of thoes DVD player 5.1 combo kits. And well the wire and spekers were not much to talk about. Since the DVD player had a built in amp, I bought this Jenson system. All I can say is good things. The first DVD I put in to the player was Star Wars Empire Strikes Back, and you could hear everything! You heard the snow compacting as Han walked over the Land on Hoth! An added plus is that the Sub Woofer has a volume nob on it and is powered seperately. Which is great if your DVD player or amp can bot turn up base anymore. In this case you can just over ride it essentialy. In short, Awesome system! Awesome price, and it looks good too. Other reviews say that this system sounds better then a $500.00 system, and They are right. If not better it is very comparable. Buy this and be happy! I recomend 18 gauge speaker wire when hooking this up. Anything smaller would not do the system justice.

I did hook up these little ones to my old Yamaha RV-703 receiver using a Sony DVP-NS400 DVD player with Dolby Digital 5.1 built-in decoder. For 59 bucks and free shipping, these speakers rock. If you are planning on buying a system for your bedroom, or building a system within a budget, I recommend these speakers 100%.

For the cost, you can't go wrong with these speakers from Jensen. We love them, and in shopping around found them to be one of the best home theater values. The sound is great, and the speakers are perfect for just about any home theater need.

First of all, I am not a "home theater expert." I did not even know I needed a receiver for the theater speaker system. That not withstanding, after I got the speakers, (and a receiver I might add) I hooked everything up to my Direct TV and DVD. WOW what a sound. I have a BOSE system in my family room and this system is in my home office, which is quite big. This system I rate a good as the BOSE system I paid a lot more for. I only wish I had waited a week and got the extra $$$ off what I paid for it! But it is a good buy. And, I got it in only one day after I ordered it. Talk about fast delivery.

I bought these speakers based on price because I just wanted to get some budget speakers to start off with on my home theater. It turns out that these speakers have amazing sound quality easily rivaling speakers that cost 10x the price.

I really can't find one bad thing to say. Even at high volumes they have a crystal clear pristine sound. The sub woofer pumps a nice rich heavy bass. Take advantage of the low price on these speakers, you won't find a better deal.

I'm using these speakers with a Harman Kardon AVR 240 receiver and I also have two Polk R15's as my front left and right.

I purchased this speaker package a few days ago and installed it just yesterday. Boy, was I in for a pleasant suprise. I replaced my old Phillips surround speaker set with these and the difference is so obvious, even though my old set cost about 8 - 10 times what I paid for these. The subwoofer puts out powerful, crisp bass and all of the other speakers deliver pure, clear sound. I was really skeptical about buying this because of the low price, but I must say, this is one of the few times you really get more than you pay for. I highly recommend this set to anyone setting up a moderate home theatre system. You won't be disappointed.I'm planning on ordering another set as I have a 7.1 surround sound received so I'll need another two speakers.

Not enough can be said about this system, so I'll make certain that even more is said. The sound is incredible, the packaging is small and the price tag is outstanding. Because of size constraints, I had to replace a pair of Bose 301s with this Jensen system and it delivers just as much sound in a smaller package. I use this system to listen to music as well as movies, and the sound is fantastic.
