Excellent for the price!!, February 22, 2006
This review is from: Jensen AM/FM Shower Radio with Digital PLL Tuning - JWM 160 (Electronics)
I bought this shower radio to replace my waterbug that was absolutely terrible. This radio gives me excellent reception in my bathroom, especially since my bathroom does not have any windows. I'm able to get all the radio stations in my area (I'm in a metro area) without any static. The presets and digital tuner are a great feature. The sounds quality is excellent. I'm able to have the volume loud enough to hear it in my bedroom without having the speaker resonate and distort the sound. Excellent for the price!!
The only negative thing is that I've been going through batteries kind of often. The volume on the radio starts to go pretty low, regardless of me turning it up, which is an indication to me to change the batteries, but one the batteries are changed, it works awesome again. I would still recommend/buy this item regardless of the battery situation.

Not too user-friendly, okay for the price, May 4, 2006

This radio looks nice, and sounds good inside the shower, but it's kind of tinny-sounding for use as a whole-room radio. It seems much more complicated to use than necessary. To turn up the volume you have to press the volume button first then press the up or down button. To change bands from AM to FM while you are listening, you have to press the on/off button again then the band button. To change to another preset station, you press the memory button first then the up or down button. If you press up or down without pressing anything else it just goes to the next station number (not a signal scan). To turn it off you press the on/off button twice. All this is to say, they've made something that should be fairly simple into something you might want to keep your instructions handy for, unless you keep your radio at one setting all the time. I guess you get what you pay for, as we also have a Sony bathroom radio that was about $70 and is well worth the cost difference.

Not Very Good, May 17, 2006
This review is from: Jensen AM/FM Shower Radio with Digital PLL Tuning - JWM 160 (Electronics)
This shower radio is rather complicated to program and went through batteries very quickly.
It broke after about 6 months of my using it, before then, it worked fine but it wasn't anything special.
I would recommend against buying this radio unless you find its inexpensive price very attractive.
