I bought this shower radio to replace my waterbug that was absolutely terrible. This radio gives me excellent reception in my bathroom, especially since my bathroom does not have any windows. I'm able to get all the radio stations in my area (I'm in a metro area) without any static. The presets and digital tuner are a great feature. The sounds quality is excellent. I'm able to have the volume loud enough to hear it in my bedroom without having the speaker resonate and distort the sound. Excellent for the price!!
The only negative thing is that I've been going through batteries kind of often. The volume on the radio starts to go pretty low, regardless of me turning it up, which is an indication to me to change the batteries, but one the batteries are changed, it works awesome again. I would still recommend/buy this item regardless of the battery situation.

This radio looks nice, and sounds good inside the shower, but it's kind of tinny-sounding for use as a whole-room radio. It seems much more complicated to use than necessary. To turn up the volume you have to press the volume button first then press the up or down button. To change bands from AM to FM while you are listening, you have to press the on/off button again then the band button. To change to another preset station, you press the memory button first then the up or down button. If you press up or down without pressing anything else it just goes to the next station number (not a signal scan). To turn it off you press the on/off button twice. All this is to say, they've made something that should be fairly simple into something you might want to keep your instructions handy for, unless you keep your radio at one setting all the time. I guess you get what you pay for, as we also have a Sony bathroom radio that was about $70 and is well worth the cost difference.

This shower radio is rather complicated to program and went through batteries very quickly.
It broke after about 6 months of my using it, before then, it worked fine but it wasn't anything special. I would recommend against buying this radio unless you find its inexpensive price very attractive.

This is by far the worst thing I have ever purchased. The buttons are very confusing and have to be pressed in a certain order just to change between preset stations. You have to press two buttons just to change the volume. I bought this 6 months ago and after changing the batteries twice it still has poor reception and will completely quit working if you leave it on too long (20 minutes max.) Not to mention the clock constantly loses time.

Waste of Landfill Space - Do Not Buy This Product,

The radio worked for just six months before it inexplicably died. In that time, it went through a ton of batteries, which was particularly annoying, because a screwdriver is required to open the battery casing. And the memory buttons are a joke - you have to press multiple buttons to change the channel, then the on/off button twice to turn the thing off when done...after the first month, and after changing the batteries, I gave up on that feature altogether.
Amazon should pull this product.

The couple of times I actualy had this radio on, it sounded quite good and decently pulled in stations. The on/off switch was faulty from the start, however, and after a few days, I was no longer able to turn the unit on. I returned the unit several months ago for a replacement to Thomson, Inc., the new owners of Jensen. I did not hear back from them and recently tried contacting them again. I can no longer find a phone number for them. I called 411 in Socorro, TX where they are located and there is now no longer a number or listing for Thomson, Inc. I recommend that you save your money and buy a different brand!

I am pleased with this product. The digital display is easy to read and buttons easy to push. Its a little complicated to program in your favorite radio stations in to the radio memory. The detailed instruction booklet is helpful.
Overall it works great. It has many wonderful features. I only need a few of them. The radio comes with a 2 foot long anttena cable wire, which can be unfurled for better reception. I would recommend this product to a friend.

Looks good and initially worked ok...for about a month. Only complaint up 'till then was that the setup was somewhat tricky and not intuitive.
Then the "shower" radio, with occasional use, burned through its first set of batteries. Clearly, it had shorted and the batteries used up their juice way too quickly. In the second month, the radio stopped working altogether which, uhhm, was pretty much the point of the purchase. Much to my surprise, one throw of the device onto the floor seemed to fix it for another two weeks but then it malfunctioned again. Tossing the thing against concrete a second time did not seem to help anything. I'm off to buy something new. Bottom line: the battery compartment and the innards leak water and the radio shorts out. Jensen should be ashamed. If you have the misfortune of already owning one of these, toss it hard against a wall. It may help.

TERRIBLE BUY!,

This thing is a piece of junk. I bought this particular radio because I thought with a 30 dollar price tag, I would get something of quality. Wrong! The stupid thing stopped working less than a week after we got it! A WEEK! I thought I had the fluke radio so we returned it for a new one (same model). SAME THING! Broke down after a week or so. It was really embarrassing because I had gotten the radio for my boyfriend as a Christmas present.
DO NOT BUY! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME!

Poor reception - volume control was an issue - Battery compartment rusted and the unit died within a few months....dont pay more than $10 for this.
