At twelve dollars its a steal, but the technology is limited and it can't compete with airtunes in regards to quality.

I love the design and the concept. The sound is great!

Unfortunately, the range isn't that great (it would be better with BT class 1) and sometimes, when I loose the connection once in a while, it reconnects to another Bluetooth audio device (my neighbors TV - if he knew :) ).

The documentation is really bad. Here are some instructions, that can't be found inside the manual:

1) If it is automatically connected to another (undesired) device, press the button for about 2 seconds to drop the connection so that it's open again for being connected to your device.

2) To pair it with your PC, you need a pairing PIN, it is: 0000

I bought this device so I can listen to music from my LG Chocolate on my home stereo wirelessly. Unfortunately, I quickly discovered that the range tops out at about 15 feet. At greater distances, the device loses signal very easily, which requires a tedious pairing reset process.

I also found that it loses signal if you try to do too much with the phone- for example scrolling through songs while one is already playing. It keeps the signal if I just setup a playlist and leave my phone near the device.

On the plus side, it looks slick and is quite small. It integrates very nicely with my entertainment center.

I like the concept... This product works well with my HP PDA, but I need to work out the problems I have with my HP dv1000 laptop. It does work well with the PDA so maybe there is something I am not doing properly. It does connect to my laptop, but it has problems approximately every two minutes with interference or distortion & eventually loses a signal. The range is only like 15-20 feet (MAX), but I'll get back to you on my laptop issues. Nice product, but needs to come with a preset code so info is not "out there for othes to hear".

I purchased one of these products to install in my car (My reciever has an auxilary input, and I'm sick of having to physically plug my phone into the cable). Before installing it in my car, I decied to test it out on my home stereo system. Now that one is staying where it is and I bought another for the car. This is by far the best $11 I have ever spent.

A few notes:
Do not get confused by what I said about my car, this is NOT meant for auto installation, it comes with a 120 / 5 V adaptor. Not a big deal though since I'm an EE student (Zener Diode voltage regualtor anyone?)

It is true this product has limited range. It's BLUETOOTH! The standard for bluetooth set by the IEEE is 3 meters, or about 9 feet. This product works well beyond that range, and consequently is more than I expected. To properly enjoy, one should be in the same room as the reciever (not too hard) or have a car less than 30 feet long....

It operates at 2.4 GHz, so don't put it next to your microwave. However, it seems to play nice with the other two wireless routers in my house, as I've noticed no interference as long as I'm in the same room.

The new iPhone OS 3.0 update is gonna allow for streaming to this right from the device, no extra hardware needed. I'm sorry to see it's no longer in stock, I was gonna pick one up as a gift for friends.

Kicks butt with my MacBook though, pairs quickly and terribly convenient to listen to music wirelessly. Love it. Gonna love it more when the new iPhone update comes out allowing for A2DP bluetooth stereo audio.

What else do you expect from a $5 receiver. It works well and I've not experienced any sound distortion even at high levels.

Only drawbacks:
- Bluetooth Signal is not very high. My laptop is 3-4 meters away and its showing 50% strength
- Lesser Volume than expected (can be adjusted by choosing highest volume)

Otherwise, you cant get better than this for this small price.

I bought the Bluetooth stereo receiver to use with a new iPod Touch. The receiver is connected to a stereo amplifier. Operation is simple. Turn on the stereo the Bluetooth receiver and the iPod. On the iPod settings go to Bluetooth and turn it on. The receiver identification should appear. Select it and it will say connected after a few seconds. The audio output that would normally go to the headphone jack now is heard through the stereo system. I find this very convenient to be able to listen to music playlists from my iPod without wires. Using it with my iPad it becomes a pleasure to watch movies or shows with excellent sound.
On the negative side, the initial set up required a pin number to be inserted. Nowhere in the instructions, on the box or bill was there a reference to a pin number. I went to the website and there was no reference there. I tried 0000 and it worked, maybe any four numbers would work? When the unit is turned on the volume is low and I have to remember to reset it higher. And of course the price is outrageous for something that should cost about $25. However it presently appears to be the only game in town and really adds to the pleasure of having background music while you read or surf.

Its cheap. It works moderately well.

Pairing is easy. Once paired, the sound quality can be occasionally choppy, but this is generally not bad enough to be a huge turn off.

The major con I've observed is that reconnctions with a bluetooth audio source (like a laptop) is not something that happens very smoothly. I often have to manually turn it off and on to get this working.

If you're looking for a cheap way to get a PC quality speakers to hook up your laptop while surfing the web and listening to music, youtube etc., this might be a good buy. But if you are looking for a higher fidelity experience with a high quality speaker system, you might want to invest in something else.
