This review is from: Jeopardy! Junior Edition (Video Game)
Jeopardy! Junior Edition is a well-made game that is really easy to get into. I recently played a Jeopardy! game on SNES, and I complained about how slow the gameplay was. But playing the NES version of Jeopardy! Junior Edition was a relief for me. I just prefered it to move fast and have a fast loading time as well. Games are always better this way. I found it also too easy, so I was able to answer about 95% of the clues. A few of them that I did not know was due to dated information. One category was on Captain Power. Now, I have to say this...I know pretty much a lot of things about the 80s, but Captain Power...what the heck??? I seriously am unfamiliar with that TV show, so I had to google it. And it turns out that it only ran for 22 episodes in one year, and nobody watched the show at all, thus it got cancelled faster than you can say Soaron (what the heck is that???)! Gee whiz, can Jeopardy! Junior Edition be more in tune with things that are kinda more popular and relevant? Another thing the game can be anal about at times is spelling. I am quite good in spelling, but I will occasionally misspell. So, I got the question wrong when I typed in "abbrevation" when it should have been "abbreviation." If I said it, I know it is going to be right, but spelling it...something different from what's usual for the actual game show. Oh well. The competitors on Jeopardy! Junior Edition aren't much of a competition. So, it's quite easy to breeze through no matter what difficulty level I am on. Right now, I am looking at the reviews on gamefaqs, and wow...I must say, I am very surprised at the low reviews of the game. Perhaps that the reviewers barely read books and played too much video games. Yep, that's probably it. All in all, Jeopardy! Junior Edition is a great game that is quite too easy, but how will the average teenager of today do on it? Probably not as good as they should be which explains the sad demise of intelligence of young Americans.
