This review is from: Jeopardy (MP3 Download)
Popular music seems to specialize in finding people to provide a handful of hits (at most), discarding them, and moving on to the next act. Only a handful of performers manage to stick around for a long period of time. Greg Kihn did better than many since he had several successful albums and at least two legitimate hit singles. "Jeopardy" was easily his most successful song and it remains a pleasure to listen to.

While many groups in this era were all about synthesizers, Kihn took a much more classic approach, though the music does show more restraint and has a cleaner sound than you would typically see in most songs from the `70s and earlier. Kihn has a slightly "smoky" voice that melds perfectly with the catchy rock beat. Because of this, the music doesn't sound dated or have that highly distinct `80s sound that you might expect.

It's been nearly 25 years since Greg Kihn's career peaked with "Jeopardy" but I enjoy listening to it just as much now as I ever did then. And for less than a dollar, you can get a clean mp3 file with no restrictions that hamper your ability to use and enjoy it.
