Good coffee maker with a problem,

The basic coffee maker is small and simple to use unlike most on the market that have programable functions. I would give it 5 stars except for the fact that I can't poor a cup of coffee without it dribbling down the pot on the counter. The seems to be a problem with many coffee makers.Update: After using the coffee maker for a month I got so frustrated trying to pour without spilling that I called Jerdon. They claim there is nothing wrong but if I want to return the pot to them they will check it and send a replacement if they find a defect. They would not send a replacement first so I would be without a coffee maker. Jerdon customer service stinks. I have changed my review to 1 star. Do not buy a Jerdon coffee maker.

I bought this to replace my worn-out Krups Cafe Express 4-cup coffee maker and how I wish the Krups model were still available. Perhaps it's just me, but I can't seem to pour the coffee from the Jerdon pot without spilling unless I pour ever so slowly.

I have found the Jerdon 4 cup coffee maker to be excellent. 4 cups(2 mugs) is what I really need to get the day going. This coffee maker does the job, and looks great on the counter without taking a lot of space. Easy fill, and easy to clean when you are done with it,and you are not left with stale coffee in the pot from making more than you need. I have always used a pyrex measuring cup, and water from my filter pitcher, so it is easier to fill without spilling, and I know exactly how much coffee I am making.I don't use the pause and serve, but by holding the top of the coffee maker with my thumb on the brew basket, the carafe pulls easily from the warming plate and is returned the same way. No spills, no mess. Would recommend this product!

Cheap junk. When you try to pour a cup the carafe dribbles off the bottom like a bad prostate. Also - you can't pull the carafe out from the drip assembly without pulling the hot filter holder out along with it thereby risking a nice scalding as the hot grounds cascade over your wrist. Not recommended for households with young children or church kitchens as there will be inappropriate language involved in the struggle with this machine.

Disappointing,

Functionally flawed: (a) difficult/impossible to put the carafe back into place when the filter holder is in place (the "no-drip" valve blocks the way) (b) the carafe pour spout/lid design leads to having the coffee run down the side of the carafe if you try pouring at anything other than a very slow rate.
