This review is from: Jeremiah--Ezekiel (Expositor's Bible Commentary, The) (Hardcover)
The nature of Dr. Brown's commentary partakes of rare excellence. At the forefront is rich, passionate spiritual insight, which is grounded in a context of deep, holistic scholarship. This combination of spiritual and scholarly wisdom creates a matrix of information and inspiration, which leads to reflection and prayer. Dr. Brown's writing engages the heart and the mind as he bravely ventures into the connection between the word of God, the heart of God and the anguished prophet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Zion's Prophet, Jeremiah 31:6,7 / by Dr. Michael L Brown, March 18, 2010

This review is from: Jeremiah--Ezekiel (Expositor's Bible Commentary, The) (Hardcover)
The Expositor's Bible Commentary on the Prophet Jeremiah, published by Zondervan in 2010, features the writings of Dr. Michael L. Brown. Messianic Judaism is given yet another resource in the advance of Zion's Millennial Civilization (Zechariah 2:10,11; Isaiah 60:12-14; Ezekiel 37:21-28). The Restoration of the Kingdom of David and Solomon (1Kings 4:20,21; Acts 1:6-8; Psalm 72:8-11; Matthew 17:11),in this 21st Century since the Incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ (Revelation 14:1;7:4-9), is bolstered by the literary efforts of scholars like Michael Brown.

We should express our appreciation for the inspired expertise apparent in Dr. Brown's commentary on Jeremiah. The content and format of this presentation is optimal. There is no doubt that Zion's (Jeremiah 50:4,5) prophets of Israel enjoy a profound respect for Dr. Brown's spiritual and scholarly efforts. Brown exhibits every characteristic of a Messianic, Jewish literary shepherd, a shepherd who contributes to the consummated, apocalyptic fulfillment of Jeremiah 3:15.
