5.0 out of 5 stars Well balanced breakfast delight; Great coffee - Great price!
Decided to turn to my old pals at Amazon for my daily coffee fix as part of an overall belt tightening program. This Jeremiah's Guatemalan was one of my first 2 selections and it is a WINNER. This is a truly splendid, well-balanced example of the best of Central American coffee. Lest we not forget, the roasters did a wonderful job here of keeping a watchful eye on the...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but not Great
I recently went on a marathon taste-test of bean coffees available through Amazon. This one would have gotten a four, save for the high acidity of the beans which did not, in my opinion, complement the otherwise great flavor. I think it comes down to a matter of personal taste--the flavor of the beans is quite good, but if you like a smoother, less acidic flavor, look...

Decided to turn to my old pals at Amazon for my daily coffee fix as part of an overall belt tightening program. This Jeremiah's Guatemalan was one of my first 2 selections and it is a WINNER. This is a truly splendid, well-balanced example of the best of Central American coffee. Lest we not forget, the roasters did a wonderful job here of keeping a watchful eye on the process and not overdoing the cooking in order to take the flavor to the edge. The roasters here let the beans speak for themselves - there are subtle notes of chocolate and raspberry and a superb aroma. Everything from the packaging to the freshness to Amazon's delivery serve to make this a most pleasant surprise - I made a tough decision to give up the coffee that I loved to save some money and I found a great new coffee at less than half the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars nice and reasonably priced coffee, December 30, 2009
This review is from: Jeremiah's Pick Coffee Fresh Pick, Guatemala Tres Marias Whole Bean Coffee, 16-Ounce Bags (Pack of 3) (Grocery)
This coffee is very tasty and a good pick-me-up in the morning. A bit stronger than other Guatemala coffees that I have purchased from other suppliers, but that is a plus. The pack of 3 is reasonably priced. Well worth it.

Being a fan of Starbucks Kenyan and Ethiopian coffees myself, I thought I would give this a try. The Guatemalan has a nice rounded flavor, though not quite as robust as the African coffees that I have come to love. It takes maybe 10-15% more coffee to get my desired results, and of course taste is very subjective, but it is definitely superior to your average Colombian in my opinion. Not too acidic either, so easier on those of us that are susceptible to heartburn. Overall - 4 stars!

I purchased Jeremiah's pick coffee fresh pick, Guatemala Tres Marias whole bean coffee as my choice of the subscribe and save program. We thoroughly enjoyed this coffee as we are not fans of bold coffee but, we like the taste of this medium blend whole bean coffee. We received a disappointing email only to find this coffee has been discontinued. It was good while it lasted and can only hope it will be back soon. Until then I am sure we will find a suitable comparison from the many choices of coffee that Amazon has to offer.

I don't see how anyone can be disappointed with this coffee. Very smooth and flavorful. Nothing cheap about the taste at all despite the low price per pound when you go with the monthly subscription and no shipping charge. Stands up to coffees costing twice as much. I have always preferred Columbian and Central American varietals and this is an excellent example in a coffee you can drink anytime of the day. It will not wear out its welcome.

I think it comes down to a matter of personal taste--the flavor of the beans is quite good, but if you like a smoother, less acidic flavor, look elsewhere. On the other hand, if you aren't sensitive to high acidity, you'll probably adore these beans.
