Yes, you heard it right. Season 3 of the acclaimed television show is in written/drawn form-- not video! This graphic novel is a collection of the six comics that were released by IDW. If you have read each of the six comic books then you are not missing anything (this graphic novel consists of nothing new).
Jericho Season 3 Civil War (as its titled) continues right after the television show left off. You follow Jake and Hawkins's stories in Texas and in the Allied States of America. You also follow the regular characters in Jericho, Kansas like Major Beck, the Green's, and Mayor Anderson.
The story is excellent. It is written by many of the Jericho television show writers and the artists did an superb job at making the characters appear lifelike. While the novel seems a little short (its at 150 pages, if that) the ending will leave you wanting more.

Please note, I cancelled my Amazon preorder for this item when I found out it would ship later than my local comic book store would receive it. I did not purchase this item through Amazon. My Jericho graphic novel's cover is pictured differently than the one shown on Amazon's site. I assume everything else is exactly the same.

This graphic novel is written by the shows writers and producers and is the official continuation of the series.

It starts off with Jake and Hawkins in Texas with the bomb. We get to meet a new Green family member, get the backstory on John Smith, the mastermind of the Sept attacks and see the start of the Civil War. I can't wait to see what happens next!

I'm so glad that Jericho didn't get the dead show treatment - a script outline given to a novelist. The graphic novel can be used as a book of storyboards and makes it that much easier for the studios to see the potential of the Jericho story. At Comic Con 2011, we heard a TV movie was being considered.

Since I was never able to find several issues of this 'comic', I am SO happy to finally get "Season 3" in the complete graphic novel format. Since as you should all know, this book collects all the issues of "Season 3", but I'll say the book is printed on nice paper stock, and it's more durable this way, so what's not to like!

Well, one minor quibble - I wish they had done a more colorful, not as scary cover, to be quite honest. Maybe some of the characters. Not a somber nuclear explosion. (The customer photo on top is the actual cover of the book, NOT the picture of Robert Hawkins & Jake Green). I know it sounds funny, but it gives me the creeps to have that picture on my books to read pile.

Hope we can see a movie or new TV series!

The graphic novel is an easy way to get your Jericho fix all at once, so buy it now. I actually buy multiple copies and donate the extras to my local library. With their budget cuts, donations like this are greatly appreciated. Consider getting your fix and helping your local library, buy 2 or more copies.

If you are like millions of others, you were distraught when Jericho was cancelled. Season 3, via the comics, picks up where the show left off and pushes the plot forward. The action doesn't stop, the characters are able to do more without tv budget constraints, and surprises galore! Buy your graphic novel now!

Once you are done reading and re-reading the graphic novel (all 6 issues in one new package with artwork by one of the Jericho Rangers (fans), check out all the Jericho Rangers are doing to get more Jericho. Go to [...] or join other fans at [...] (click on Community then Jericho). Good news is out there regarding Jericho's future...........come be a part of it!

The Jericho Graphic Novel was a great summary of the 6 Jericho comic's I had previously purchased. If you were a fan of the TV show Jericho this is a great way to get more of the storyline as told in Comic format. The Season 3 comic was well written, with great illustrations that leaves you wantING to jump right into Season 4 of Jericho and More! Hint - We need a Jericho MOVIE!

This graphic novel stayed true to the Jericho form. I did not watch the show until 2 Aug 2011 and watched every episode in a week then bought this book today. I read it in one sitting. I hope the "to be continued" means there WILL be more instore. If they do not bring it back as a movie, I hope they continue the comics or even state a book series. BRING JERICHO BACK TO LIFE!!!

Jericho was the best show on television. The show was meaningful and had a compelling storyline with an outstanding cast of actors! Even after the show was cancelled its legion of fans continue to follow the show which has now continued in the form of a comic book series.

The comic books pick up where the story left off. It depicts how people get together and what they have to do to survive the aftermath of the worst disaster imaginable - the nuclear bombing of 23 American cities.

This Graphic Novel combines all of the comic book issues into one beautifully done exciting book. A definite must read whether you were previously a Jericho fan or just want to read a well done exciting story.

Jericho should never have been cancelled in the first place. The show is missed dearly by all of its fans. We are extremely grateful for the Comic Book Series. A special thanks to IDW for keeping Jericho alive for the fans. There is also talk of a possible Jericho Movie!
