Season 3 is a Graphic Novel, July 22, 2011
This review is from: Jericho Season 3 TP (Paperback)
Yes, you heard it right. Season 3 of the acclaimed television show is in written/drawn form-- not video! This graphic novel is a collection of the six comics that were released by IDW. If you have read each of the six comic books then you are not missing anything (this graphic novel consists of nothing new). Jericho Season 3 Civil War (as its titled) continues right after the television show left off. You follow Jake and Hawkins's stories in Texas and in the Allied States of America. You also follow the regular characters in Jericho, Kansas like Major Beck, the Green's, and Mayor Anderson. The story is excellent. It is written by many of the Jericho television show writers and the artists did an superb job at making the characters appear lifelike. While the novel seems a little short (its at 150 pages, if that) the ending will leave you wanting more. Please note, I cancelled my Amazon preorder for this item when I found out it would ship later than my local comic book store would receive it. I did not purchase this item through Amazon. My Jericho graphic novel's cover is pictured differently than the one shown on Amazon's site. I assume everything else is exactly the same.

Jericho continues . . ., July 29, 2011
This review is from: Jericho Season 3 TP (Paperback)
This graphic novel is written by the shows writers and producers and is the official continuation of the series. It starts off with Jake and Hawkins in Texas with the bomb. We get to meet a new Green family member, get the backstory on John Smith, the mastermind of the Sept attacks and see the start of the Civil War. I can't wait to see what happens next! I'm so glad that Jericho didn't get the dead show treatment - a script outline given to a novelist. The graphic novel can be used as a book of storyboards and makes it that much easier for the studios to see the potential of the Jericho story. At Comic Con 2011, we heard a TV movie was being considered.

great to finally have it, just don't like the cover, August 5, 2011
This review is from: Jericho Season 3 TP (Paperback)
Since I was never able to find several issues of this 'comic', I am SO happy to finally get "Season 3" in the complete graphic novel format. Since as you should all know, this book collects all the issues of "Season 3", but I'll say the book is printed on nice paper stock, and it's more durable this way, so what's not to like! Well, one minor quibble - I wish they had done a more colorful, not as scary cover, to be quite honest. Maybe some of the characters. Not a somber nuclear explosion. (The customer photo on top is the actual cover of the book, NOT the picture of Robert Hawkins & Jake Green). I know it sounds funny, but it gives me the creeps to have that picture on my books to read pile. Hope we can see a movie or new TV series!
