5.0 out of 5 stars Another great show bites the dust
For those of you looking for engaging television, this is definitely a show you should look at. Against the backdrop of rebuilding a town post-apocalypse, the show really concentrates on providing the audience with interesting, 3-D characters. It raised a lot of questions and kept your attention all the way through. Due to the nature of the story, I had no doubt this...

1.0 out of 5 stars DRM=DUMB
Series is great! DRM delivery & viewing system is just plain stupid. If I watched it live (and suffered through all the commercials), AND recorded it on my DVR, it's mine and I'll do with it what I want. But with DRM added, it's just about useless. I'd even prefer to download a DRM free version with commercials. Wanna hook a friend on Jericho? Just burn 'em a 25 cent DVD...

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great show bites the dust, May 19, 2007

For those of you looking for engaging television, this is definitely a show you should look at. Against the backdrop of rebuilding a town post-apocalypse, the show really concentrates on providing the audience with interesting, 3-D characters. It raised a lot of questions and kept your attention all the way through. Due to the nature of the story, I had no doubt this show could have continued to grow an audience and keep you entertained. Unfortunately, in this era of "reality TV", networks don't want to provide an audience with good television...They just want to make as much money as quickly as they can. Kind of sad when you realize that we're just numbers to the big networks.

I don't even have cable but I heard about the show, downloaded an episode and was hooked. Then, I downloaded the whole season...Watch this show, its great!

It appears CBS is bringing back the show as a mid-season replacement next season with 7 episodes, as well as re-running it during the summer on television and releasing the Season One DVD on September 11. This is great news. We fans just have to continue supporting the show to keep it on the air long.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's good. Watch it. Please., February 21, 2008
This review is from: Jericho (Amazon Instant Video)
Very few shows make it back from the dark depths of cancellation, but it's no surprise that "Jericho" is one of them. It's great TV, pure and simple, with top-notch acting, writing, directing, and production.

What IS a surprise is that it was canceled in the first place, given that it is such a successfully implemented, cross-genre show. It does attempt to do a lot of things (the drama of "Lost," the thrills of "24," and the post-apocalyptic setting of "Jeremiah") but it does them all well and they all mesh perfectly. Nothing feels tacked on, so whether you're a fan of dramas, thrillers, or sci-fi you won't be disappointed with "Jericho."

5.0 out of 5 stars Best and Most Underrated, September 17, 2007

Jericho is the most underrated show on TV and I am so glad that they have reinstated it for next year. With powerful writing, the story mesmerizes the viewer. This show captures your mind and your heart.

We're hooked but need sleep. Will finish the season tonight. Tension mounts as the season progresses. Can't wait for the last two episodes to download.

5.0 out of 5 stars Jericho brings it home !, December 21, 2007
This review is from: Jericho (Amazon Instant Video)
This series, though sci-fi, has a serious tone. With what we live through on a day to day basis, this lets us see what some feel may be a possible future. They characters are believable, and the stories seem possible.
That said, its excellent TV. It's not over the top, and it keeps your mind wondering. I think it is well written, and well produced. The actors are awesome. Bring back more than 7 episodes!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A TV show for everyone!, July 26, 2007
This review is from: Jericho (Amazon Instant Video)
The only reason I downloaded the pilot episode is because it was free. How smart Amazon was to do this! I immediately got hooked and started downloading more! I LOVE THE SHOW...I never would have discovered it had I not downloaded it here.

Great acting, great stories...and something the entire family can watch. What I like is how extremely realistic it is. I am so glad that CBS renewed it for at least a few more episodes.

Its becoming more like showtimes Jeremiah, which was an excellent serial. It remanins to be seen if the show can stick to the main story arc, or if it will slow down to focus on the supporting stories. So far, its been a slow, but interesting ride.

The ending of season one I thought was spot on. A nice direction to take the story in.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Ole Cliffhanger!, March 5, 2008
This review is from: Jericho (Amazon Instant Video)
In the beginning we missed season 1 of Jericho because we thought it was like Jeremiah, which we didn't particularly like. We saw Jericho on free tv and it left us salivating because we had to wait another week for the next episode. Nowadays its extremely difficult to find the kind of imaginative writing that takes the viewer to the point of wanting more, but Jericho does exactly that - leaves you wanting more. I'm 62 years old, I'm tired of blood 'n guts, and I say, keep Jericho comin'. MY FAMILY AND I LOVE JERICHO!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Every Episode of Jericho is Riveting!, February 20, 2008
This review is from: Jericho (Amazon Instant Video)
I missed the first season of Jericho, but after the "revival" I watched a couple of episodes on the CBS site. I was hooked enough to order the Season One DVD from Amazon.Com. The idea was to watch a couple of episodes a week before the Season Two premiere, but I ended up watching 22 episodes in one weekend!

"Jericho" combines the action and suspense of "24" with the lives and relationships of ordinary people. It speculates on what might happen to a small town and a country after multiple nuclear attacks. It's not science fiction, and it's not gloom and doom. It's about survival. What makes it so intriguing is that it could happen.

If you haven't seen Jericho, download the pilot at Amazon Unbox and then buy the DVD of Season One. The seven episode Season Two will keep you on the edge of your seat....I promise!
