I really didn't want to buy an electric meat slicer when I only make jerky about twice a year. This product was in the right price so I thought I would give it a try. It worked perfectly. I have zero complaints. The knife they provide is sharp enough and, as long as you follow the instructions, you will get your money's worth out of this product.
If you're in the professional jerky making business, this probably isn't the product for you. But if you just make it 2-6 times a year, this is will get the job done.

We gave this to our adult son for Christmas, and he put it to use right away. He loved it! He was also very happy with the knife included in this set. Nice product.
