5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!!!!
I luv this cd, but must be honest my favorite song on here is his duet with brother Michael "Tell me I'm not dreamin" I keep that one on repeat. A 100% absolute classic never to be duplicated. Luv those Jacksons!!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Missing Track
I have this CD from the 80s. There is a track missing. My CD has 10 tracks and track 5 is "When the Rain Begins to Fall" as a duet with Pia Zadora. That is the best track on the album. Why is it missing?

5.0 out of 5 stars jermaine's best album, September 25, 2010
This review is from: Jermaine Jackson (Audio CD)
This is without a doubt Jermaine Jackson's best album that he ever made and released. The only problem, at the time of release of this album, little brother Michael wouldn't allow the duet by them Tell Me I'm not dreaming (Too good to be true) released because Michael was on another record lable and Jermaine was on Arista records!! Sounds like little mikee wanted all the royalties to go to himself and nobody else!!!! Regardless of that incident, there many other hit singles on this album, including "Dynamite" "Why Don't You Do What You Did" and the duet w/Whitney Houston (prior to her demise w/Bobby Brown) "Take good care of my heart." If you like Jermaine Jackson, buy, download this album and add it to your collection. It's that good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dynamite Jermaine!, November 12, 2006
This review is from: Jermaine Jackson (Audio CD)
'Jermaine Jackson' is his Arista debut in 1984.It couldn't be more different then his Motown releases.Wheras R&B/Soul considerations were a high priority for Jermaine at Motown, pop considerations define 'Jermaine Jackson' and it starts off with four killer dance tunes-"Dynamite" (the big hit,the upbeat "Sweetest Sweetest" and "Tell Me I'm Not Dreaming" with brother Michael (the other hit on this album)and, yes if you please "Escape From The Planet Of The Ant Men"-now it's a very odd and slightly comic new wavish tune featuring all of the other Jackson brothers (particularly Tito) and despite what I hear from some I don't think it's stupid at all-just a fun pop novelty. So primarily 'Jermaine Jackson' is composed primarily of catchy, uptempo dance pop featuring every 80's trick in the book-fat bass synthesizer, electronic hand claps, surreal sound effects-the works."Come To Me (One Way Or Another)" and the phenomenal "Some Things Are Private" are no exception to that rule. The three most unusual tunes are the Whitney Houston duet "Take Good Care Of My Heart" which is more of an urban contemporary love song."Do What You Do" is the third hit from this album and is one of those 'quiet storm' classics you'll see on one too many R&B ballad compilations but it still sounds great. The final song is the most atypical-a very old fasioned piano ballad called "Oh Mother" which I assume was written for Katherine Jackson.I am very glad that after all these years of the original CD being out of print in the US and the import version being a much saught after collectors item that Sony Special Products reissued it in the US as part of it's budget line.'Jermaine Jackson' stands out as a very consistant album for it's time-for such a poppy album it contains absolutely no fillers. It's also very much a part of the Jacksonmania of the mid 1980's with the Victory Tour,'Thriller' selling up the wazoo and Janet coming into her own with albums like 'Dream Street' and later 'Control'.This was definately Jermaine's time to shine.

This is the best album the Jermaine Jackson has ever done. I have it on both cassette and cd forms. I love the songs "Do what you do" "Dynamite" and the song he did with Micheal Jackson.
