After Stella Stevens, Jerry Clower is probably the most famous non-musical entertainer from Yazoo City, Mississippi. In this video, the late best-selling country comedian tells a series of amusing stories involving pretentious "city slickers" and simple, working class folk. Perhaps the funniest story is one involving a man purchasing a blanket for his prized horse. There are other tales that are likely to produce at least a chuckle or two. More importantly, you can watch this tape with your children without worrying about the content. If you're turned off by modern comedians that use "four letter words" like they are going out of style, you'll love this tape.
