Bits & pieces from the Packer Glory years. It's interesting, July 13, 2008
This review is from: Jerry Kramer's Inside the Locker Room: The Lost Tapes of His 1967 Champioship (Audio CD)
for the fan to listen to what was going on in the locker room of the Super-Bowl champs. It probably does not transfer well to the printed page. The first disc relates some of what happened before & during Super Bowl II. There's an intro by Jerry Kramer & Dick Schapp & anaylsis by various Packers. There are of course lots of hilarious stories to go with this. Uncensored locker rooms sounds & Lombardi's half time Super-Bowl II speech highlight this double cd. This would be the last game Lombardi would coach for the Pack. No story of these years would be complete without mentioning the Ice Bowl. That is covered along with some play by play of that game. The 2nd disc calms down a bit with an extensive interviews with Vince Lombardi jr., Starr, McGee, Bratkowski etc. A fascinating glimpse into the first Super Bowl champs, 40 years ago.
