I have been watching the Jerry Springer show on and off again since 1991. When I saw this video, I thought that it would be interesting to watch, as most of Jerry's 'clip shows' tend to be pretty funny.

When the video arrived, I watched it and laughed my butt off. I especially liked the part where the guy and his 'chunky' wife got into it and started throwing food at each other.

I was really shocked the first time someone swore because I'm so used to the censor taking all of that out. After that, the cussing didn't even phase me.

The extra 10 minuts of 'bonus footage' at the end really isn't all that great. Just some out-takes.

If you've had a bad day at work, or a fight with a family member, watch this video and think "Thank goodness, my life could be worse. Someone could call and ask me to be a guest on Jerry Springer."

5.0 out of 5 stars Jerry Rules The Talkshow World, December 31, 2001
By A Customer
A definate must have for "The Springer Fan". I own the whole video collection, and I had to have the DVD. You know People Say Springer's Guests are "Trailer, Or White Trash", however the truth is these are "REAL" people who don't put on fronts, and airs to conform to the supposed "Normal Society" fact is they are, just who they are. It's too bad most of sububia thinks there normal because they're the freaks to me. If your a fan Of "Jerry's #1 Talk Show" (Blowing Oprah Out Of The Water) You'll LOVE This DVD! All my friends love to watch when they come over, and yours will too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Somewhere Caligula Is Blushing, November 13, 2003

Christopher Schmitz (Rocky River, Ohio United States) - See all my reviews
Jerry Springer, along with that other Jerry (Seinfeld), ranks as one of the great comedians of 90s television, and he does so by playing a straight man to a stageful of trailer park trash soap opera. At any given point, there are no more than 11 teeth among the guests, even if an entire family is being torn apart by someone's hortisexual affair with a trailing hibiscus.

Springer's stage is Darwin's waiting room, the shallow end of the gene pool. These people are not even pond scum. They aspire to be pond scum ONE DAY. I mean if they really work at it! Chubby chasers, incestuous bisexuals, Neanderthal brawlers, and women in shredded clothes populate Jerry's circus sideshow peek at the underbelly of Appalachia.

When I come home from work, I spread some pate on a cracker, browse through the poetry of Wallace Stevens, and listen to Verdi's "Requiem." When I tire of this, I heat up some Pizza Rolls and turn on Jerry.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Too Hot for T.V" is characterized in 3 words "Off da Hook", November 23, 1998

Jerry Springer's movie is the Bomb! Too many people be playa hating on Jerry but it is all about him. Everyone's eyes are glued on this tape. The fights and the crazy antics these people do are wild. The female strippers are a real treat for the guys. Hopefully this tape can teach ladies how dumb they look for trying to fight another female over their suppose to be "man". If the man were theirs in the first place he wouldn't go out and seek other cutty from other women. This video goes in detail and shows more action without all the blimps they use on the show. Everyone should watch this video.

2.0 out of 5 stars good enough but repetitive, June 30, 2000
It is definitively not too hot for TV. Don't expect to see much in it, just your usual, every day, talk show, with a marketing title

Besides, most of the clips are the same: "I slept with your brother", and then a fight starts. It's better to watch a Jackie Chan movie for that.

It's maybe nice to see once, but disappointing to own.

1.0 out of 5 stars FOX58 or this DVD???, February 23, 2007
By
I always watch Jerry Springer show on FOX58 everyday on weekdays and my boyfriend and I bought this DVD and its not like the regular show on FOX58 that we watched because FOX58 has some reality show but this DVD seem to be "fishy"!! I do know that I dont like Steve because Steve seem to be control of the show and makes people piss off and Steve thinks he is the "man" of the show but Jerry seem to be more polite and understands people their issues. My boyfriend and I was planning to go on the show to be their guest but after my boyfriend and I watched with Steve in it and my boyfriend and I talked alot about it and we think Steve is the problem and we werent sure if Steve is our host if we fly up to Jerry Springer show or not because Steve needs to butt out our business but we are trying to figure out why Jerry haveto put Steve into it to be a host of the show?? If you want to watch something more reality go watch Pay-A-View instead of this one it's 10 times better than this DVD!!! We are giving 1 star for this one!!!

If you like "Playboy"-type stuff then this video is definitely for you!!! I felt their was too much nudity and not enough action. However the scenes where they were fighting and cursing each other were cool!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Pure trash, November 19, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Jerry Springer: Too Hot for TV [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Okay, I have seen the naked bosoms, and I have heard the dirty words, and the rest is all the same. The tape is full of the same worthless shreds of human debree that I could see on television for free. Do not waste your money. I am happy that I only rented it, so I can return it, and have it out of my life forever.

5.0 out of 5 stars Choc full o' breasts, March 14, 1999
This review is from: Jerry Springer: Too Hot for TV [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Breasts, breasts, and more breasts, and I am referring only to the 300 lb mama who spreads whipped cream on her mammouth mountains. The women are HOT, and the action is fast paced and lively. It is a white trash free-for-all ! If you love Jerry, you will watch it over and over. If you are not a Springer fan....have your head examined, then check out Oprah's book club! !
