For the other review stating 'poorly transcribed', they really don't know what they are talking about. This edition is not transcribed, but rather a high quality scan and print of an original edition.
The recipes prove it.
I am using a technique toward the back of the book to make an Effervescent Cocktail, which involves tartaric acid and sodium bicarbonate stired into the drink at the end.
