okay basically, did you watch the show? that's whats on the DVD.
the only thing they dont censor is the limited amount of cursing
that wasnt edited out already. everything is blurred out. the
sound, picture quality (WHICH BTW IS ONLY AVAILABLE IN FULLSCREEN)
and anything else you would think a DVD might have as far as an
upgrade from watching it on cable/satellite is not on it.

oh im sorry, they have a lame special features disc and a handful
of deleted scenes. if youve seen this show already, dont buy it,
do not let them get any money from this. its too late for me however.
just dont make my mistake.

Ok, this is not a critique of the show, which I absolutely loved. However, the DVD was of very poor quality. First, it is not "uncensored" like the ad suggests. The DVD presentation is identical to the TV show. Second, there are basically no special features other than some deleted scenes thrown in. Finally, the picture quality was very mediocre and below DVD (480p) standards. It seemed like a DVD put together by someone working from a home computer. All of the touches that accompany a quality DVD release are absent. Honestly, if you have already DVRed the episodes, then this is not worth buying.

Yeah the DVD does not prove to be uncensored as it is advertised. Jerry Springer was uncensored, Jersey Shore was just put a a DVD. Same stuff you see on TV you'll see on the DVD. If you're like most and want to see some extra stuff on the DVD then don't bother because it's not there. Just wait for the reruns

I loved the show, cherish it. It changed my life, hell my roommates and I now do legitimate GTLs from time to time, but this DVD just is no good. The quality all around is poor and the only thing uncensored is the rare curse MTV bleeped on TV as apposed to editing out.

BUT worst of all and insult to injury - there's no LMFAO in the intro! Instead of the amazing "Get Crazy" there is some terrible rap song, it really kills the vibe. I don't really understand, LMFAO was thrilled to have their song as the intro, they were darn right proud of it in Charlotte last December.

Bought this to watch with a few friends, and we all became addicted to the show. By "uncensored", it means they don't block out the swears/vulgar words that they do on regular television. If you're expecting porn you will be disappointed. All the episodes are on 3 discs with good picture and sound quality. There's also a bonus disc that includes "Before the Shore", the reunion special, Tips from Snooki and The Situation, and deleted scenes. Can't wait for Season 2!

so i got this in hope that it would be uncensored, but no there are still *&@^# when the captions come on there are still blur spots to hide all the good stuff. so i wasnt to happy with that whats the point of callign it uncensored when its still censored. If you missed a few show its worth getting but if you lookign for nudity you will get none here

Oh the power of reviews, I am an idiot for not reading these reviews before I bought this. If I knew that this version was EDITED as well, I never would have purchased it.

I was very excited to see all the advertisements on MTV stating that this DVD will be "Uncensored". I really enjoyed watching the show and decided to buy it to see it straight through without all the bleeps and blurs, that and my husband didn't get a chance to watch it so I figured we both could enjoy it. Wrong.

Every curse word is bleeped, all nudity/panties shots blurred, AND the DVD also promised to show "Snookie" being hit without MTV cutting that out of the show and guess what, it was still cut.

I just wished I would have saved my money and kept my recordings on the DVR since the only difference that the video has to offer is an even worse picture.

BUYER BEWARE, I wasn't smart by not reading the reviews, but you can be, just record it off your TV, you're better off.

First and foremost I love the show and it's awesome not am I dinging the producers of the show and its participants which did an awesome job.

That said, the DVD is quite a disappointment and really feels and looks like a very lazy effort on MTV's behalf or whichever company they hired to design and publish this DVD. First of all this DVD is not Uncensored. So the title is of total false advertisement. I wonder if one can sue them for that. Anyhow. The cussing is 90% uncensored but there are some words they left out which I thought was BS. Second, the sub titles in some of the parts are censored as well. Does it really take that much effort to write less than 20 lines of subtitles over again and remove the stars? Did the production company who made this DVD not get the masters or something? Really? Come on. That again does not make it "uncensored". Having the blurring stay in there just made me even more mad I went through the effort of buying this all the way from Canada since the DVD is not sold there and now having owned it I hope it does not or gets re-done. The picture quality is sub par unless the whole show was shot on cheap handycams I do not see why the definition could be a bit higher. 480i at best. Special features that I can watch on MTV.com for free? Sorry that also was disappointing.

MTV needs to look up the definition of "uncensored" in the dictionary or put a * on the title to ensure that buyers understand what they mean by "uncensored". I'm very disappointed and hope MTV keep this in mind for future DVD releases. Amazon should also redefine the title of the product to suit the false title that is printed on the cover as well. I see no Value in this set at all. I do love the show and at $17US I would consider it a budget release but if that is what it is then say so and please remove the "uncensored" from the title of this release. Don't buy it, just TiVO the shows and save them.

This DVD was just like watching the TV show; if you already saw it, don't waste your money. It was not uncensored unless you count the cursing. If I knew that this version is EDITED as well, I never would have purchased it. Also, sound quality is not the greatest & it does not have closed caption. Video quality wasn't that great either.
