Book Description

September 22, 2000
The current media obsession with cults is laid bare in a story which, a few years ago, would have been closer to science-fiction than fact. Today it stands as a frightening possibility, given the events of recent years and the rebirth of cults across the globe, from the home of democracy in the U.S. to the Far East and Japan.

What Harry Bates uncovers in his role as an employee of a South African armaments manufacturer is a plot to topple the Dome of the Rock mosque in Jerusalem by simulating an earthquake, in a very real attempt for global control by a Zionist mastermind. Armed with this information, Harry's brother and a small band of supporters attempt a dramatic and potentially suicidal solution to the extremist's plot, but with fanatical Zionists as opponents their chances look slim.

After it was first published in 1995, this book was accused by some of being far-fetched. Less than a month later the then Prime Minister of the State of Israel, Mr Rabin, was assassinated - by a fellow-Jew. The unthinkable had happened, and Zionism added yet another notch to the butt of its gun.

More About the Author

John Allen was born in England and raised in South Africa. At college there, he wrote a thesis that gained top marks but was so controversial he decided to publish it. The book, Concerning the Nature of Man, has received much comment over the years.

He followed this up with a number of other titles, including Apartheid South Africa: An Insider's Overview of the Origin and Effects of Separate Development, his top seller and popular with both the general public and schools and universities.

Institutionalized Racism in South Africa, his latest book, is currently available in Kindle format in both English and French.

John also accepts editing work, most recently for MJ Maher, whose groundbreaking Racism and Cultural Diversity has been published by Karnac (London).

Other genre include fantasy, fiction and ecological issues.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Captain Has Turned On the Fasten Your Seatbelt Sign, January 18, 2001

This review is from: The Jerusalem Deal (Paperback)
A world-dominating plot sabotaged by the unlikeliest group. As the story unfolds you will cry, shout and be pressed against your seat with each turn of the plot. Well-written; this book is easy to read in one sitting. Tighten your seatbelt because turbulence is forecasted for this flight.
